  1. 4s here with iOS 5 paired fine with the x910BT. Can make and receive calls over Bluetooth
  2. The kind of people that spend $1k are more likely to evaluate between different versions of smart phones rather than mp3 players, so Sansa versus iPod isn't the debate. Of smart phones, as stated Android has a larger market share. The vast majority of them have a micro-usb port, which is an industry standard and could easily be supported. Samsung is the highest selling maker of phones, with specifically their galaxy line having just about the same market share as the 4s while having been on the market for less than 1/2 time period as the 4s. It's expected to pass the 4s in early 2012. Als
  3. Hey folks, I know when connected with the iPhone-Pioneer cable (CD-IU230v) I can play music/videos from my iPhone onto my X910BT. But is it limited to just local music/video files? Like, can I play Pandora or Spotify through it or could I only do those through the auxiliary port? Can it do anything else that's special/unique to the iPhone? Thanks
  4. Anyone know where the private data is stored? My hesitation in part comes from that. Prior phone calls, GPS History, unique keys tied to my particular unit, etc. Also, not sure of the legality of redistributing all the system files like that.
  5. Ok, got it. Turns out you have to unplug the CD-SB10, not just the SC-C1. Funny that pulling the fuse didn't do it. Anyways, left both Sirius boxes unplugged overnight and all is good now.
  6. After 10 months of smooth operation, out of nowhere my Sirius stops working in my AVIC-X910BT. The rest of the system works totally fine, however when I go to Sirius, no sound is produced and I can't change the station. It's not the signal because it would say "Acquiring Signal" if the antenna was the issue, but it doesn't. The Sirius boxes are recognized, otherwise it would say "No Device Found" which it doesn't. This problem has been posted by others and the solution was always, disconnect the Sirius Box for 5 minutes, or pull the fuse of the car stereo for 5 minutes and it fixed it f
  7. There's a thread where people have uploaded a backup of their system files. I'm not fully certain that it's definitely compatible with the X910BT, but I think there's a good chance it did. Here's the thread. Read through it and ask questions. You might end up being ok: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/page__hl__%2Btorrent+%2Bseed
  8. Got my AVIC-X910BT about 11 months ago. First thing I did was to mod it with all the navigation upgrades (used Diaftia's mod collection). First step of the mod is backing up your current system files...just in case. Mod complete, and everything works awesome. Fast forward 11 months and all of the sudden my unit reboots itself while listening to music on an SD card. The unit then continuously reboots itself every 30 seconds never making it past the splash screen. Hitting reset doesn't fix it, and neither does restarting the car. Hitting Reset + Eject temporarily fixes it, but navigati
  9. Sweet...just saw that a new version came out. I currently have version 2.3 of Diaftia's mods installed (in my X910BT). Any need to uninstall the old version first before installing the new version?
  10. Anyone know if this works with the AVIC-X910BT? And if so, which version would I use from the first thread?
  11. Bummer! Welp, that's why I asked. Thanks for the responses! If only Pioneer Open Sourced their software. Of course it won't happen, but it would solve so much.
  12. Thanks for the response abb1! I do actually mean on the Nav section though. The bottom right corner of the NAV screen has a small box that is about 1/4" high and 1.5" wide. It tells you what's currently playing. If you click it, it will bring you over to the Audio section. I'm wondering if we can make that box larger and give some more details about the currently playing song there. This would all be done on the NAV screen, since as you mentioned, that's the area we have control over. I was looking through the .ui files though in the in folder: "Data.zip\ui_pioneer\800_480\ui", bu
  13. Hey folks, You know on the bottom right of the map screen it tells you a quick blurb of what's currently playing on your audio source? Is it possible to mod that blurb so that when I click on it (or somewhere else on the screen) it becomes larger and shows me more info (almost like a pop up window or an overlay)? I often find that while on maps I'm switching back and forth between audio source and maps, just so I can get a little extra detail about the audio source. Also, to expand on this, if it is possible, I wonder if this could be a solution for Sirius owners who can't mod the Si
  14. Cool...Thanks. The 910 that I have doesn't support MicroSD (maybe with an adapter though), but I found a posting from someone that had good luck with a Transcend Class 6 8GB. So, I ordered the 16GB version and I'll see how it goes. I'll post back.
