get the model # and find it on ebay. those interface modules have about 200% markup on them. Plus, i would think you could find a cheaper install. back when i did it a few years back we only charged $99 for a Nav install.

what? that makes absolutely no sense. it is just a small feature of the unit that will no longer be functional and you are not paying extra for this feature out of the box. they could have just not put it on the unit, but they did at no cost. sounds like a bonus for those who will use it.

well, not so fast. he said he is an authorized re-seller. Not authorized dealer or retailer. What that means is that he is authorized to sell new pioneer stock. Must liek just about all internet dealers and ebay dealers. Warranties are supposed to be valid for 1 year thru these sellers, but its not as black and white as buying from Best Buy. Because of this, he is allowed to sell them so cheap. Authorized retailers are not allowed to sell at such cheap prices. They must sell at or close to SRP.

I am not familiar with exactly how many units Pioneer is shipping, but to say that no one has them in stock is just plain not true. You can find them on ebay for $700 shipped. That's a very good price, virtually half the price of the Pioneer. i know. that is my point.

Although that would be 'cool', that would totally be a useless waste of money. The cost to develop a screen to display 1080p Blu ray and the cost to build a reader/player in that system would be astronomical. Plus, its a 7" screen, 1080p wont look any better than standard definition.
