  1. yup, it will. Actually for the iphone shutting off the car transfers the audio back to the phone from the AVIC. It does for blackberries too.. Without knowing what kind of phone the OP has, since he didn't mention it, we don't know what it would do for him..
  2. You can install FX3.1 - Link This has TA 2009.6 integrated.
  3. What? You might want to check here, here, or here. While shutting the truck off does "reset" the unit, why not simply follow the directions and use the reset button?
  4. Well, you'd need to switch the power wire. Check the vehicle-specific wiring forum or a forum dedicated to your make/model, Im sure there's a regular switched 12v source right near wherever you tapped into the reverse lights..
  5. Nope. Everyone has just been waiting 11 months for you to get here.
  6. Yeah, if you want an update, suck it up, slap 3.0 on there, and redo your mods. Check FX3.1, there may be a few of your mods included, so less for you to do over. Alternatively, sit on what you have.
  7. Here's the page[/url for the upgrade at pioneer.eu.. Judging from the [url=http]specs, this seems to be what you're looking for.. Up in the top right corner, there is this link, and believe it or not, the name of the button is "Where to Buy". Now, I'm betting one of the dealers you could find from following the correct links on that page could help you out. That, or one of the 500 rapidshare/etc links for that update has to be somewhat legitimate, seems like reasonable odds if you don't want to buy it. I don't get what the big fuss is about. Either you pay X for it, or you don
  8. Did you tape/cover your RCA connections? Is it possible that one of them is grounding out to the chassis when the car is in motion, occasionally?
  9. Probably because your power for the camera is connected to the reverse lights or another wire that's only hot when the vehicle is in reverse... If it was wired correctly, the +12v wire would be connected to a power source that's on whenever the car is on, which would allow you to view the reverse camera without being in reverse.
  10. Sigh.. What receiver are you talking about, and what are you exactly looking to do?
  11. Make sure it's formatted as FAT32?
  12. Only way to know if it is your card, is to try another SD card...
  13. Looks like your bypass is not done correctly. Those options are grayed out because it believes the parking brake is not set. Set the parking brake/correctly do the bypass as described here.
  14. Click Me. There's nothing that could be explained here that isn't in that thread. If you do exactly as described there, you'll be ok. If you don't, it won't be bypassed.
  15. Thats what I was thinking too, but I got bored of looking.. If it doesn't have a brand name on it, that's usually not a great sign. D1: D2: For the hell of it, D3:
  16. So you "jiggle" the right RCA for the front channels, when the right side cuts out, and it resolves the issue? Do you have your RCA's taped or covered, is it possible that one is grounding out on the chassis? and is it the side connecting to the harness that you are believing to be the issue? If so, it could be a loose pin in the harness, investigate this when you remove it.. If not... head to ebay for a new RCA harness. looks like approx $54 shipped is the best price over there.
  17. FX3.1 worked fine, for everyone who followed the instructions in that thread correctly. It's been suggested as a possible fix for anyone with OS corruption, etc. If you aren't having problems now with the OS itself (iPhone issue notwithstanding), you shouldn't have any problem installing FX3.1, as long as you follow the instructions from Retell.
  18. Might help if you mention what phone you're using...
  19. Doesn't even look like a Pioneer to me. interface looks Clarion-like, but I can't find a match at sonicelectronix..
  20. Does this post from one of the links that I had suggested in the other thread you responded to help at all? Worth a shot at this point to just try all the common troubleshooting steps one at a time, if one of them works you're in business, if none of them work you're calling pioneer and getting it replaced for the new owner of your truck, or putting the stock deck back in and giving him a small break on the price.
  21. If you jiggle which wires? It'd be helpful to know exactly which, since you're saying that you've isolated wires behind your dash to reach for and jiggle every time this occurs. Is it speaker wires, or is it RCA Connectors?
  22. Guess none of those suggestions work then.. Either try the update/reinstall or get on the horn with Pioneer.
  23. Sounds like a bad connection. Pull it and resolder/fix butt-connectors/whatever and it should go away.
  24. It's *possible* that your battery was drained some from sitting for the time you were gone. If that's the case, the unit should work if the battery was getting a charge, or if you had enough juice to start the car... I'm not sure.. This sounds somewhat like the ol' "changed my battery and my avic is dead" issue.. I'd check your fuses just to be sure, but the next logical step is usually an assumption that system files are corrupt for whatever reason, and attempting to update the unit/reinstall firmware. FX3.1 may help you out, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to boot that far. Mig
  25. F700 specs: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 00BT?tab=B F900 specs: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 00BT?tab=B Should answer your question.. I know of the main difference, which is quite apparent. Once you figure that one out, they're essentially the same exact unit.
