  1. For anyone who would prefer to launch Primo off Diafta's mod see post #2 of this thread for the download. Please feel free to leave any feedback. If you have a different mod you would like to launch off leave a post and I will post the necessary files.
  2. 1. AV and music can only be used if you are starting Primo through a mod and AV and mainmenu are running in the background. More options to start Primo after AV and mainmenu have launched are on the way! 2. Bluetooth in our units is handicapped, it is unlikely we will ever get Primo to control the bluetooth with our units. 3. Hmmm, I don't use speedcams so I'm not sure. A few things you can try; add speedcam="..\..\IGO\content\speedcam" under [folders] in Primo's sys.txt. If that doesn't work copy the speedcam folder from igo\content\speedcam to primo\content\speedcam and it should work.
  3. Wow, thats great! For some reason inside the data.zip in a config file for PIONEER AVIC-F900EW it states port=2, I thought maybe the european AVIC used a different port. In my sys.txt I commented all lines out of both device and gps and Primo finds the port itself. Glad to hear it is working, enjoy Primo my friend!
  4. I'm not sure, I have TMC disabled in mine. You could create a shortcut to Traffic in Customize Quick Menu. I see there is a line in the sys.txt which reads: [tmc-http] enabled=0 Perhaps that should be a 1? If you have your old sys.txt and save folder inside the Primo directory if you replace both you should get all your old settings, ect back.
  5. The file must be data.zip, data.rar is not recognized. I find the easiest way to modify the data.zip is to unzip it, modify your files, and copy them back in the original data.zip using total commander.
  6. I have the same behavior on the odd occasion, maybe 20% of the time. A reboot seems to fix it for awhile.
  7. I would prefer it if Primo discussion stays in the Primo thread. There will be future updates provided there are new developments, and there are users using other mods with Primo.
  8. Great release Chuck thanks! Don't start talking all that retirement and getting back to my life nonsense, we need you here!
  9. I tried to link the Primo's favorites, ect to iGo8 but it screwed up iGo8 and reset all default values. You could try copying some of the files with the same name from USER\UserData\iGo\SAVE to Primo\SAVE; however I am not sure that Primo and iGo8 use the same file for favorites.
  10. Patper try the upload below. It is a clean install from a European source, never initialized and has a meager sys.txt. There is no skin, but at this point we want to see if it gets you a gps fix. Let me know if it works. http://hotfile.com/d.../pr1m0.rar.html
  11. Patper, I found a post where someone claims they could get a satellite fix in the US but not Germany. It is here: http://www.mobilepassion.org/viewtopic.php?f=210&t=1958 That person seems to believe that it may have something to do with the licenses, perhaps you do not have a working license for your Euro maps? On another note, what language do you have Primo set for? Perhaps you have English (US); if so try setting it to English (UK).
  12. Can anyone verify that they have Primo working correctly on a Euro AVIC? Edit: Try adding this to the sys.txt: [debug] show_gps_pos="1"
  13. I read around a bit and it turns out it could be a license problem. Perhaps the license files in the download on post #1 are outdated for the maps you are using. Try the one below (copy over Primo\license folder): license.rar
  14. Oh no, it looks like you are having similar issues that patper is having. Perhaps this problem is common in European units with the settings files supplied. Well, maybe we can try a few things and cross our fingers. Try the following steps in order: 1. Since you have a European f900, try putting the following lines in your sys.txt file: [device] type="PIONEER AVIC-F900EW" Either comment out or delete all other lines under the [device]. Also add: [gps] port=2 baud=9600 Once again, comment or delete all other lines under [gps]. 2. Restore Primo's default settings. Restart the uni
  15. Everything looks good Chuck, I tried it out and all is well. One thing I added to mine, if you put the line "Key2 00C3 k00C3" (without the quotations) in the Primokey.AEK file (in the AEKMap folder) a double press of the map button will bring you to the Primo main screen. There is no command for a long press in AEKMap, unfortunately. Thanks for the props in the about screen of your mod, it is a pleasure and an honour! I remember you were mentioning retiring awhile back; I am glad you stuck around to help myself and others with getting Primo integrated into our units. I will do my best
  16. Haha, thanks! Did you ever resolove your satalite problems? If so, how? It may help other people if they experience similar issues.
  17. Wow, it looks great! You are skilled with the graphics, that's for sure. Maybe a coincidence, I find it takes longer to get a GPS fix since changing the sys.txt device from type="PRIMO" to type="PIONEER749UC". Do you notice any difference?
  18. Hey Chuck, did you manage to get Primo working in your emulator? It seems to crash after default language screen for me. Any ideas?
  19. Aw, I finished it before reading your post mentioning that it should be 480x240. It doesnt look too bad, it overlaps the "Destination" text and matches the black background theme of the top menu.
  20. Hows this? A little too big maybe (640x300)? Button.rar
  21. Aha! Well, that wouldn't be so bad. I'll give it a shot!
  22. No, it was on the to do list but I am lost looking inside all those UI files. That would be awesome!
  23. Yeah, we get screwed in Canada. No traffic info on MSN direct and no TMC
  24. That X710BT sounds like a neat little machine, maybe it is time to upgrade from my F500BT
