  1. Hey Chuck, hows it going? Are you using any HNR files (pre-defined routes) with Primo? If so, did you find any for Canada specfically or are you using the NA HNR files which are 50 MB each (200 total, ouch)? Do you notice a difference? I just found some newer maps and whatnot here, I didn't realize there was an update til now and have not tried any HNR files yet. Any thoughts?
  2. My SSD crashed and I don't seem to have a backup for the voices, I lost alot of other important files too! Could someone upload them and I will change the link on the 2nd post? It sounds like a good idea, I see that power radio is for HTC devices however so I am doubtful our hardware will work with this program. Honestly, 95% of the time I know where I am driving and mute the TTS anyways, the other 5% of the time I use Primo 1.0 with working TTS regardless of audio source. I guess I am happy with things and am not ambitious enough to spend anymore time on this.
  3. Hotfile deleted all my uploads! I re-uped everything in post #2 of this thread, enjoy.
  4. Not sure bud, it should work if the lines in the sys.txt are deleted. Since Primo shares content with the stock iGo, why not run if from your units flash disk? It takes minimal space without content. Not sure about TMC but we need someone comfortable with decomplining exe files in order to get audio to work regardless of source. I have an idea where the issue lies but am not skilled enough to pick apart an exe. As our units are aging there is less interest in modding them, at this point unfortunately it appears as though we will not get sound working in 1.2 and 2.0. Too bad, I wa
  5. The VSS doesn't matter, it is the gyro which is the problem on the f900bt. You can hook it up and it will work fine. I wouldn't say there is a framerate problem, I was just making an observation Primo runs smoother without custom skins. Make sure to copy the files in the USER folder, these are the ones which will give you the new icon to Primo 2.0. I will re-upload this weekend sometime. Thanks for letting me know.
  6. Make sure to delete all lines under (FOLDER) in the sys.txt. Primo will then look in the content folder for maps, ect. For TomTom the maps must be activated to your specific unit which is a bit of a process, do a google search and it will yield results on how to do this. I got the maps working and then deleted them to make room for more content for Primo, TomTom is lightyears behind Primo IMHO and not worth the space for maps. For Garmin it is a little easier, you can located and download pre-activated maps. The button mappings only work on Primo 1.0, however for 1.2 and 2.0 the butt
  7. Hey Chuck, it's nice to hear from you! Happy belated holidays to you as well. Unfortunately there are few new features with Primo 2.0 however I find it to run much smoother with higher fps which is a welcome and impressive change. A few things I have noticed, the upload on this thread has a custom skin built in. One thing I have found is after updating to GJ's newest skin Primo wasn't quite as snappy, be warned it is best to use it as downloaded for best performance. I haven't attempted to get TTS working with 2.0 however for those having issues make sure to use TTS files which worked wit
  8. It should be. Download Primo 2.0 from the avicnet thread (post #2) and copy all files over your current Primo. Then delete the save folder and launch.
  9. Hmm, I didn't notice any difference. I only use 1 POI file, I believe using multiple map files with Primo has caused other grief in the past. Maybe try just 1? You can comment out or delete the lines for the shared POI filets in Primo's sys.txt file. It is: poi="..\..\IGO\content\poi" You can then add which POI files you wish to the Primo3\content\poi folder. Hopefully this will help, if not try deleting existing POI files and udpating.
  10. OK, try these steps in this order: 1) Install driver (cab file) 2) Soft Reset 3) Check ports (My Flash Disk\System\serialports), make a note of which ports are used. 4) Plug in OBDII reader 5) Check ports again (My Flash Disk\System\serialports), OBDII should be on port 3, which was not present earlier. 6) Run HOBD, select port 3 (assuming serialport program shows OBDII as port 3) The driver should auto-load when the OBDII reader is plugged in after the cab file is installed, checking the the serialport program before and after is a good indication if it is recognised.
  11. It's the same thing, just an Italian version of avicnet. The creator has been watching this thread and added hobd and Primo 1.0 with sound and buttons which he got here. To answer your previous question all music and bluetooth should work as it did with stock.
  12. Oh, I see what the problem is. I thought Primo 2.0 was giving an error after launching that it couldn't find some files, but it is avicnet missing an icon for Primo. I guess I have an extra icon named Primo1. Change: Primo 2.0;;\\my flash disk\\apl2\\primo3\\run\\run.exe;;icons/igoprimo1.bmp#3;0;0 to: Primo 2.0;;\\my flash disk\\apl2\\primo3\\run\\run.exe;;icons/igoprimo.bmp#3;0;0 I will update the package, my apologies for the bad shortcut. Edit: Updated link in post #2
  13. I just re-copied the files I uploaded onto my unit and it works ok without any errors. Maybe try re-download and copy onto a different SD card? It sounds like a file is corrupt.
  14. I couldn't find a link to ExtLauncher 2.3, if you come across one would you please share?
  15. APL4? The application shouldn't need to look for anything in APL4. Did you try the download from post #2? Make sure the Primo3 folder is put in the APL2 directory. Delete the save folder inside Primo3, it could be what is messing things up. Next look at your sys.txt and make sure only the following lines are under folders: [folders] has_secondary_root=0 sdcardpath="\my flash disk\APL2\" maps="..\..\IGO\content\map" buildings="..\..\IGO\content\building" dem="..\..\IGO\content\dem" poi="..\..\IGO\content\poi"
  16. ??? It seems someone has been keeping an eye on this thread and took all our tweaks and added them to their own AVICnet. Fair enough, hopefully they have something to offer us. Any idea where I can find a link? Edit: Found it, it is in the Italian forums. The keymappings I set up in the sys.txt for Primo 1.0 are there, even the lines I commented out while experimenting are intact. The driver for the OBD is the exact same, it looks like they got it here. No Primo 1.2 or 2.0. It is still based on AVICnet 2.03. I'll dig through it when I get a chance and see if there is anything w
  17. That looks like extlauncher, a different Russian mod from AVICnet. I can't seem to find a copy anywhere, info is on this page but all links are down: http://www.alfessa.n.../121-679-1#6194 and here: http://pioneernavgat...net/?t=3732677. Indeed, the avicnet menus are part of the ezrider process which is why they are inaccessible after killing ezrider. Thats why I replaced the AVICnet icon with an icon to do a soft reset. Killing ezrider is a good thing, we need all that memory freed up to run some of the newer versions of Primo. All avicnet menus are in the ui_pioneer folder as you have
  18. Thanks for the info on Primo 2.0 Patper, and thanks for throwing it together Timemaster. After killing ezrider I ran it through a 12 hour simulated route last night and didn't get any memory errors. It seems have higher fps while navigating and seems to run smoother. I uploaded it and threw it in post #2 as a 3rd option (Primo3 folder). It only takes about 68 mb. Hopefully some talented modders such as GJ make up some skins for it. No sound without SD unfortunately.
  19. No need to apologize my friend, thanks for the link! I didn't try it yet with native 800x480 support, just with a stretched lower resolution. I'll give it a go and add it to 2.1 when I upload it, it is newer and runs fairly smooth. By any chance did you find a cracked exe for 9.6.2.209584 on any Czech sites? I can't find anything on any English sites that I frequent.
  20. I believe some custom mods use more memory then others which could mean less for secondary programs such as Primo and OziExplorer, even if all the files in th ui_pioneer are set up to work on Diaftia's it may produce negative results. Hold on a bit, i'll up avicnet 2.1 one of these days when I get a change to finish translating it and whatnot, it has a custom mod preinstalled. It isn't Diaftia's but it is much nicer then stock.
  21. Thanks Patper, I gave the Becker Active 50 a try a few weeks ago but found it too simple compaired to Primo. The version I am refering to is Go Cruise Primo 9.6.2.209584. Set your sys.txt GPS settings to port 6 and it will work.
  22. Deleted iGo user settings? I don't recall doing that. Primo has it's own in Primo/SAVE which is separate from iGo8's. Maybe try putting the files you deleted back?
  23. I don't see anywhere where you can add custom codes in HOBD. To answer your other questions, 1) I wish we could replace iGo8 with Primo, but unfortunately we can't just yet. I tried replacing the stock ezrider.exe with a Primo exe renamed ezrider.exe and Primo does boot but the "System startup, please wait" message does not go away and the unit reboots in about 5 minutes. The system seems to be looking for some confirmation from ezrider that iGo8 booted OK and Primo does not provide that confirmation. I searched and searched but couldn't find anything on how to remove that message, You
  24. Yeah, I couldn't help it after trying the teaser free version.
  25. Haha, you had me stumped. Glad you got it working!
