Looks like me F900 might be DOA. Suggestions to replace?

I'd like to know which of the pioneer units are moddable on which level...I know that the F900, F90, and F700 certainly are. What about the N, X, and Z series? I haven't found much online about it.

It should be an F700BT unit.

**THIRD EDIT: I pulled the unit out and tried starting it on my desk via a 12v PC power supply. Nothing. I tried jacking it back into the car and nothing happens there. Don't I just need 12v and ground to get this going?

OK, my f900 was freezing this morning and was rebooting this afternoon. Testmode didn't work so I put ce back on. Then testmode worked so I copied 3.1 over to the flash. Now the unit goesrong as far as the splash screen then goes dark. Did I flash the wrong ce version? **EDIT: Ok, I tried to get to the CE update option, but the unit powers up, then shuts down after about 10 seconds, regardless of what I do. Does this mean that the unit is hosed? Anyone? I'd like to either get this fixed or replaced. **SECOND EDIT: If I hit reset, it will go back to the splash screen, but the s

Thanks Boris....I've been having to use google translate...here's what I've found so far: The avic menus are all russian, even when switched to english, meaning that the back/cancel/etc are all in russian, even when altering the text files. The actual files in the ui however, are all in ENGLISH. This means something is overriding the english menus with russian. So far I haven't been able to figure out what is doing that but when I look at the My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\ui_pioneer\800_480\UI\main.ui file I see this: ;[avic_net] - start modification code import "ui_pioneer/800_480/ui/tem

Hi Everyone. I've gotten the Russian mod going on my F900BT. It works with the USA maps without a problem. Here's the main screen: The problem here is that the default ezrider.exe is still in Russian, even when the main system is set to English: If someone can help me out on this part I'd appreciate it. Just installed this on my F900BT. It does work. To put it in English go to the bottom right, and you'll see a very familiar menu pop up. From there you can switch between English, Spanish, and French(where's Russian?) First thoughts: This is neat, but it keeps trying to connect to some dialup modem. Everything in the avic menu is in Russian regardless of what language the main UI is in., so that will need to be translated. Hi Abb. Another great mod. I have two questions....is it possible to go back to the generic arrow again? Also, for some reason the unit keeps rebooting when I select a destination from the main menu. Is that normal?

Just wondering here, has anyone been able to get emulation working again? I'd really like to develop my own skin but really don't want to have to buy another unit.

Abb, Not sure if this is a possibility or not, but I'd love it if there was a way to switch off some of your add-ins. I'm not sure if that's a possibility or not, but since some of us don't use the whole package, it'd be great if we could trade speed for certain functions. Is that something that might be feasable?

Abb, I think that people here don't read disclaimers really well. If I was going to release a mod then I would specifically say that questions about installation are not going to be addressed. Your instructions have never, ever failed me and I've installed your mods over a dozen times. The only thing holding me back at this point is not having a test unit to play with, and I can't seem to get emulation running to just test from my desktop.

If you're concerned about install problems, just release it how you normally would, tell us how to install and then leave us to it. I've been thinking about making an installer program that could be used with the different Mods out there. So far all your stuff is gold.

Could someone tell me how to configure the data.zip or whatever on the stock 3.0 so that when I select a POI it immediately sets that as my destination?

I managed to get it to red.... I like your mod so far though. Just wondering, is there a way to turn off some of the extras? I don't really use much but the extra buttons on the nav screen.
