I have significant static when the Z1 is paired with my razr. I have a April unit without the bluetooth update (I have the ducati bypass). The bluetooth used to work great with a motorola v551 but now it is unuseable due to the static with my new razr. Not sure what to do since on the phone thread other people arent having any problems with the razr. Ducati or anyone else have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance

I am having the same issue with the SGH D900 (Samsung Black Carbon) that just came out. It is not a pocket pc, and doesnt use WM5. It does connect to the internet, play mp3s, etc. Any solutions to this would be very appreciated. Im trying to figure out if I should install the bluetooth update and disable my ducati bypass .. . .or find another solution. Has anyone with this problem resolved it with the bluetooth update?

I have a Samsung SGH D900 (black carbon) phone that just came out. I am having the same issue. . . .the phone will connect and then looses connection. The difference is - I cant get it to reconnect without resetting the AVIC Z1 and the phone. Im wondering if it is worth trying the bluetooth update (but dont want to disable my ducati bypass if its not going to help) . . . .anyone with any ideas? Thanks

I just had the Z1 installed and have 2 problems Im hoping someone can help solve. . . . 1) When navigating the Ipod artists/songs there is just one long list that takes forever to scroll through. Is there anyway you can type a letter somewhere to jump to the artists that begin with that letter? Or is there another way to navigate through the Ipod - the way it is now - I get frustrated scrolling before I ever get past the 'D' artists names. 2) I have downloaded a few CDs to the hard drive and the Artist name is not showing up. Anyway to fix this for future CDs (Im burning them wi

Anyone know if you can use both the PAC SWI and the CDSR1 remote? One doesnt exclude the other does it? Im looking for something with bluetooth and voice activation control which isnt available with the PAC SWI. . . . thanks

I have an 06 4runner without the JBL. . . . I just got the Z1 from ave6 and will soon be ordering a circuit for the bypass. I was wondering if there is anything else I need for the install. I spoke with a couple of car audio shops in San Antonio and one shop told me that they can use the stock stereo mounting brackets. . . and the other told me it fits cleaner with other mounting brackets. Also, Ive read people talking about a wiring harness? What other parts other than the HU, extra components, and circuit bypass do I need for the cleanest possible install? Thanks

Will one of the posters with both xm/sirius describe the screen display/interface differences? Can you choose genres for station selection on both? Is the artist name/song title displayed on the z1 for both? Also, where is the best place to install the antenna? I have a 06 4 runner and would rather not have to wire under the rubber weather stripping for fear of water leaking in. . . . .I would rather put it in the front grill, etc but have heard mounting location can drastically effect reception??
