Step 3 : install shortfuseHack and map2017 by follow this topic (I confirm it works for F10BT) :
http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/83505-new-release-f20bt-f30bt-f40bt-f920bt-f930bt-f840bt-etc-2017-releastechnologye/&Now, you are update.
I hope this post will help someone to avoid to spend lot of hours to find the good links and methods;)
Frederic.
Did you try just Step 3? You should be able to update directly from V1.x to V7.0 (after installing the Shortfuse hack).

yes i have F40BG and a F10BT
So are you saying that you have already installed 2019 on the F40BT and you want to also install it on the F10BT? If so, try this cardinfo.

sure that's all ?
maps are the same ?..for my2010/09 and my2011/12 ?
No, I'm not sure since I don't have an F-series. Just an educated guess. Every other update since 2010 (that's when I bought my Z110-BT), the maps were the same. The cardinfo.cif file controls what models get updated. If the cardinfo isn't correct for your headunit, nothing will happen when you insert the SD. Note that it isn't just the map files that get updated. The application files also change. However, there is a minor difference between the various models.
Just to be clear:
- What is the Product number for the map update you have? To see, go to the unzipped file folder and open UPDATE/ALLDATA.HTM
- What actual AVIC model are you trying to install it on. The MY nonsense just gets people confused. Most don't even know what MY is. Your photo shows an F40BT, is that your unit?

who can change my cardinfo, so i can try into my other pioneer , let me know
You can just use the cardinfo for your model from the 2017 update.

Look to the lower left corner of the image he has posted. It says "AVIC-F40Bt"
Good eyes. That just shows as a blurry smudge on my monitor. Zooming in two levels and I can just barely see something that resembles AVIC-F40BT.
I'll stay out of this unless things get out-of-control. I don't have any use for EU maps regardless.

Good. I somehow missed seeing that. If it is, it should also work for the x10-x20 models with the correct CardInfo.cif from previous years.

@brommie The F9220BT (same as F920BT but for VW group dashboard) you have is MY09-10 and the update @spoon1 has is MY11-12.
Are you sure he has MY11-12 maps? All spoon1's previous requests for updates were for an F950-BT, which is MY13. That unit's hardware is not compatible with the earlier units. He has never posted exactly what firmware he has and that splash screen doesn't indicate a model.
Seems to me he is being intentionally vague and since he is not posting a link, it sounds like he's attempting to sell the update. All this could easily be clarified by a short post from him.

I don't know what is wrong. Maybe you didn't follow the instruction. Maybe there is something wrong with your SD. Maybe you installed Condi's Hackmode or some other software.
Have you tried this method? Service access

In your other post you said F940. Which is it?

Does anyone know what specifically these updates changed/added? I can't tell a difference in any user facing area.
No change in the user interface. Might be better BT support (but we've been on 3.32 since 2015) and new maps. Maybe some minor bug fixes under the covers. Who knows.

And the map update is Pioneer_T1000-25818.zip ?
found here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5KpUvEq0nCnb29SZFVlNTZrZUk
Correct?
I don't know. I have nothing to do with posting or hosting the file. Whatever it says in this thread.

Ok, so just to double check... I should use the ShortFuseScript.zip? Unzip it to the root of an SD card, insert it into the unit and then "press any key (button) to continue" and let it do it's thing? Am I missing anything?
Correct. That fixes your headunit to bypass Pioneer's registration password validation. Then install the map update.

Here's the Z110-BT and F10BT Service Manual. Should be the same hardware as your F20BT. Z110-BT Service Manual

No, the user is taking the shotgun approach for any ideas. See here

Oke anyone having trouble resetting / viewing the password in your pioneer avic-f940bt.
It took me hours combining and trying multiple variations of what people posted over different forums. The following worked for me:
1. put the TESTMODE.KEY file in the root of a mini-sd card (check the attachment of this post)
2. go to your car, and put in the mini sd. Start your car. The system will now boot in safe-mode instead of the password-asking mode you did not know the password for
3. Go to file-management (navigating the safe mode is tricky, turning the volume button changes the selection, the "mode" button functions as "enter".
4. Go to this path: "user/system/security/password", select that file and make it output the text.
5. What you read on your screen now is the password.
Thanks to all the other posters posting the testmode.key and parts of the instruction. I thought I would just combine everything in a step-to-step guide for people with the same problem as me.
Or just run this: Security Password Removal Script for Z110/120/130/140, x920/930/940 & some older F series

I updated to 2015 maps v6 and it updated successfully! I can now access bluetooth settings and my phone connected and I was able to play audio. Now I do not want to go through the headache of updating to v7 2017 because I may ruin the bluetooth or brick my unit. Thank you all for the help!
Great. There's no new features in 2017, just more up-to-date maps (which might not be important in your area). I doubt you'll brick it, but sometimes weird things happen.

I ran the Shortfuse easy script FOR A SE
COND TIME and this was the message it showed saying the card is ready to install the map updates. After running the script this is what appeared on the SD card hacked.dll and the renewflib.dll. I then reformatted the SD card and downloaded the v7 maps from the drive link (2.8gb) and extracted it to the SD card. I then plugged it into the head unit with the 3 files as shown. It prompted to update and when I clicked yes to begin update it then asked for a password in which the keyboard was unresponsive and I couldn't enter a passwordYou might of read in that 2017 thread (or the Shortfuse thread), that the hack doesn't eliminate the password prompt during installation. It just shortcuts the password validation. You need to enter PASSWORDPASSWORD at the prompt. I have no idea why you can't enter anything with the touchscreen keyboard.
Don't rerun the ShortFuse hack. All the hack does is replace a couple files in the AVIC (after copying the original ones to the SD). Rerunning it just overwrites the original files on the SD with the ones you installed the 1st time. So this destroys the backup. Not necessarily a problem since the old files aren't needed.
I won't be available any more tonight.

I install v7.0 onto my AVIC-Z140BH by following the instructions in this post? http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/83512-2017-v7-uscan-update-available-for-z110120130140x920930940/& and then perform a hard reset by disconnecting the battery?
This unit was given to me by my brother I had a single din radio.
Yes, look at this post and download the map update from the google drive link. First install the ShortFuse hack which diables the installation password validation. Read that thread's 1st post. Then Unzip the map and copy the files & directories to a FAT32 formatted SD.
Are you sure Bluetooth worked for your brother?

I ran bluetooth tests during Supertestmode and was able to connect my android phone to the HU during supertestmode which may show that the BT module is still working. However when I start the HU normally (not through supertestmode) I still can't access the bluetooth settings. I'm beginning to think it has to do with the bluetooth firmware but I can't seem to force write and upgrade to 3.32 or downgrade to 3.22. Only way I can change firmware is through testmode since I can't access bluetooth settings. Supertestmode shows that I am currently running 3.24.81
Your photos show you are still running very old (4.x) maps/app firmware. Maybe try installing the latest (2017 v7.0) firmware and do a hard reset (disconnect battery). Then try updating BT through the settings menu.
BTW, is this a new install? If you bought the HU it might of been one reason it was for sale.

If you can play a DVD or enter a destination in the NAV, then the PB bypass is not your issue. You can also check the PB status by viewing Settings/Navi Settings/Connection Status.
If it shows the PB is On, then you have a hardware or firmware issue. There are some BT diagnostics in Testmode and I believe you can force-load BT firmware from TestMode. It is possible the BT module is defective. I remember someone years ago who had to replace it. That's all over my head, so I can't walk you through it.

I'm glad the Service Password Method works too. The more choice the better.
Mods it might be worth adding a link to my previous comment with the instructions to the original post?
IIRC, your method also works with newer models - like NEX Series. So those users would be more likely to find it if there was also a link or thread in that sub-forum. My thinking is it would be cleaner to start a new thread. Makes the feedback less confusing. I can make it a "sticky" so it won't get lost.

You're welcome. My Z110BT is still running strong.

No way of stop. The same reboot loop with your file. @RonS
All I can think of is to try a different SD. Or maybe your SD reader in the unit is bad. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

i'm sorry but i was trying to delete condis hack mode. I think i restored the wrong files, and now the unit is trying to update, but it don't read any sd card, with all the kind of test mode files. So i don't think the unit is totally bricked because the eject button works also when the unit is rebooting. It's a sw problem, but i can't go out from reboot loop. The unit don't read sdcard and i tried with a cd rom with testmode.key without success.
I was trying with all the update software but the unit is never reading sd card, and i don't know why.
I can't imagine what you could do to prevent Testmode from working. Use the attached Testmode.key file (after unzip) on a FAT32 formatted SD, Insert the SD, then force a cold boot by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. After reconnecting, turn the ign on.
