Hi, I'm not sure if this is the same for all phones connecting via BT to Avic F500, but i only have an iphone. When I import contacts from the iphone, it files everything as surname, firstname. Is there a way to change this? If i want to ring John Smith, he would show up as Smith John. Also..not sure if this makes any difference...my iphone imports it's contacts from Outlook, however it shows the names correctly in it's address book though e.g John Smith. It's during the import phase on the Avic where it seems to go wrong. Any ideas? thnx.

Probably an obvious question..... i take it that there is no way to alter the fade/balance of the speakers using an F500Bt? My headunit currently has the rear speakers +3 from the front, so that's fine when you listen to the radio..but when you control ipod/mp3 through F500 (therefore switching sound control over to F500) it centralises everything...which is a bit annoying. thnx.

Open data.zip and search through *.UI files under \ui_pioneer\800x480\ui and \ui_pioneer\common\ui, with the french words as keywords. Hi, thanks...i just tried that, but could not find anything which matched what i was looking for. I even renamed all the .ui files to .txt then Windows 7 could search inside each file the words...but still couldn't find anything. I'm assuming that these are actual bmp files, which means that i would need to edit them in photoshop or something????? thnx

I have a similar problem to this. I have messed around with installing/deleting voice files and it seems that the options you select from Regional Settings doesn't really reflect what files you actually have in place. To get my voice guidance working I had to edit my SYS.txt and either point it to the voice file and lang i wanted, or the other way is to see what the sys.txt file is pointing to, and then go and rename your files to whatever sys.txt is referring to. The built in regional list doesn't seem to read what files you have...it gives me a list of approx 20 voices, but i have 8

Hi, Is there anyway of obtaining these at all? I backed all my data before making mods, but the SD card is now corrupt and I have no way of installing the original files. I wouldn't be that bothered normally, but i am having so many issues with my unit, that it would be easier just to put it back to how it was for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thnx.

I have the same problem also on my F500...and the above didn't work It beeps when it's about to announce an instruction, it mutes etc..but no voice. Can anyone help? thnx
