  1. You need a poroduct made by PAC. It is a SWIPS. It will run you about 50 bucks
  2. Check your satellites! You need a minimum of 3 to lock on. If you have less it will appear lost. The vss is only for speed not location. Where is your antenna mounted?
  3. EACH for $775.00 plus shipping
  4. If any one needs a D3 . I have 8 of them and will sell for $775.00 plus shipping.
  5. you need a 3 pin headphone plug with video if i am not mistaken. That front output is for video and your plug must have 3 bands on it.
  6. You are gonna need to get illumination(dimmer) from your switches on either side of your cig lighter above the radio.
  7. i never hook up the vss wire on pioneer units. It is very accurate with all 8 satellites. And the vehicle dynamics is dead accurate on the speed of the car without the vss. Just a preference for me.
  8. which pin is it. I will be going to check the z2 before it leaves the lot on monday and will be able to experiment tommorrow. If anybody has any info i will try them so we can crack this.
  9. z2 bypass seems to be the same. I did a z2 yesterday and it works the same as z1 but still gives parking brake message but does not lock out nav or dvd
  10. yes that too, but with the Z1 I like to mount it with metal brackets instead of plastic for support.
  11. No it doesn flip so you will be fine the way it is wired.
  12. The z1 is the best unit out right now and the most reliable. I sell the z1, d2, and, d3 and install them. I have never had an issue with one unit. Nothing compares to the Z1 and it blows OEM equipment away.
  13. the tcover should still open then. The z1 does not flip so i am not sure what your concern is.
  14. Instead of wiring the t cover to the radio fuse wire it to remote turn on from the z1. You can change the settings for the remote turn on to have power when the car is turned on.
  15. put your factory radio back in and take it to dealer for warrenty
  16. As to your post on the focus. The best way to install that unit is to use a f150 kit metra part 99-5807 and make brackets to support unit. I have installed 4 or 5 of these in a focus. The kit that the car calls for is only single din with a pocket and this way the unit looks clean and flush.
