I too, noticed some map discrepancies. The street I live on appears on the map but the name does not. When approaching home the Z1 says something like "due to limited data, guidance cannot be provided". This street has existed for 20 years. I was under the impression that the Z1 came loaded with TeleAtlas data from Spring 2005. I wonder... I e-mailed Teleatlas and here is my question and their response. I picked mine up last night at Circuit City in Novi, Michigan. They still had a few units in stock as of last night.

I'm also concerned about access to private data in the Z1 when my vehicle is brought in for repair. I believe the best option would be to have Pioneer implement a firmware update to include an option for a PIN number to lock the Z1 at boot time. Once unlocked it would stay unlocked (so you don’t have to enter each time you start your vehicle) unless you enter a PIN to lock it. For now, I've thought of installing one of these options; 1. A keypad switch (similar in operation to the ones used for externally mounted garage door openers – but smaller) 2. A simple keylock swi

I installed a Z1 in my Navigator this weekend. Thanks to all the members here for their input and a special thanks to ducatiboy. What a world of difference between the Z1 and my original factory stereo. I first thought that gimmicky Navigator door was useless and never closed it. Now with the Z1, I always close it when not in use and it does a great job hiding my new baby :D .

I have an 04 Navigator with premium factory sound (yeah right). For now I was wondering if I could get away with using the factory speakers with the Z1. Does anyone know the impedance on the factory speakers? I don't want to fry this baby. On another note, I have not been able to find a store that carries the guide speaker (CD-TS37-GP). Is this for the voice nav? Is anyone using something else? Thanks.

I'm new here and would like to say thanks for a great site. :D I'll be visiting here often and hopefully will end up helping others. I've been unsuccessful at locating a store in the Toronto area that carries the Z1. I really would like to buy one this weekend. Does anyone know who carries this unit?
