I want to pick up the USB add on for my new D3... and was wondering what all works with it? -Do ANY USB external harddrives work with it? -Does the USB device with a built-in SD slot work? Using the SD? -Is it touchscreen viewing your harddrive and all that? Just trying to compare the ipod to a cheaper solution... whats the major differences? only people who have USED it please! thanks in advance!

i know but... why can u hack the d3 with no problem then?? prolly because its such a cheaper unit they didnt wanna put the technology into it... but it if was such a liability u think they would put the same technology in all of their units... besides if the directions specifically say ground to the parking break... u get in an accident... they could investigate that you didnt go by the guidlines and pioneer would be cleared? i mean im not alawyer or anything but... i dono

jesus! whats the point of pioneer doing this? It CANT be for liability reasons... because u can hack the d3 in like 4 minutes.... i guess its just a wait game to see if these elctronics gurus can figure it out... im definitely not one of them... nobody knows a pioneer tech?! lol

Ok dont bust my cylinders for this question but... what if you ran the video output for the "rear monitors" back into the aux input... because the dvd player will still display video for the rear seats while in-motion... basically... can you use aux input while in motion?

Hey Guys, I REALLLLLLY want the z-2 and I read this forum every day to see where you guys are at with it... basically if I cant watch movies while in-motion its a deal breaker for me, and im thinking of getting the D3... My question is... Will the Z2 allow you to use your aux input while in motion? I could use a 1/2 din dvd player in the center console.. if i REALY wanna watch a movie... or until you guys figure out the hack... Is this a do-able temporary fix? Or does this damn thing know what your doing... THanks!

hmmm... still not bad though i suppose... how much is the ipod cable? and how well does the d3 sort through the ipod? all touchscreen im assuming? andddd... can you put mp3s on ur ipod? or do u HAVE to use itunes? wma? sorry for the ?'s just tryin to decide here

I know thats a long shot... I want a Z2 for the harddrive... but hacking it seems to be impossible... is there any way you can use a usb flash drive with the d3... or is our only hope of a harddrive.. an ipod? Thanks Guys appreciate it

Someone please tell me that it doesnt rip them in WAV format.... why would they give you a 10 Gig hard drive that you can hold like 15cds in.... thats WE TOD ID... that cant be right
