This is why i don't buy every new generation of technology that comes out. I am moving from the Z1 avic unit. that should tell you how I spend my cash...I don't, it sits in the bank. For you I would probably say you should wait for a few more generations before buying a new unit. You're current z150 is still very new. I can't see why you would be even looking for a new head unit anyways.

you can be skeptical all you want but eventually your gonna take the dive like the rest of us. at least this system has a few new designs on it, rather than just updating the old ones.

i was going to do the z150bh but i had this feeling i should wait till the new model show up and then compare. the new one has capacitive touchscreen now. i was told that the we can plug in our selected cell phones and it will access the phone much better and can charge the cell as the same time. it does appear that they still have NOT made a mute button the face. why???

im coming from the Z1, so i dont know what you guys are complaining about. this is a whole new system to me. new to me: pandora, blue tooth to cell control, new maps, total traffic included, new siriusxm interface with back music, new physical screen, hdmi interface, adroid connection, pinch and zoom, mirror link, mixtrax, HD radio, app radio mode, wired cell phone which charges the cell, capacitive touchscreen, text to speech, USB port, memory card slot, etc.

you should be happy to know, like i am, they have just released info about the new avic units. the wait will soon be over. the release date is around feb 2014

i cant wait to see what is revealed at the 2014 ces show. i should have planned to go this year. i feel that a lot of new updated products are comming out for 2014. currently i am looking for anything that will be new for navigations but i cant find a single info on pioneer. what do you guys think will be comming out?

i was thinking of getting the z150bh but we are so close to the release of the newer units. i cant seem to get any news on the new lineup to make a good decision. does anyone know what the new ones will be?

your forgetting these forums are for people who have issues more than people with non issues. you come here to figure out the problems you may have. as for the iphone and android, this unit is tailored towards the iphone. they say that its because its easier to make programs for the iphone than the android.

wow. wtf? you have a cool car man. i dont think the head unit does that it might be the car doing it. what car do you have?

because they dont care what we want. pioneer would go far if they listen to users. it isnt like they need to do much to make some of the things we need altered.

some people are more pickier than others. because of all the electronics that let you modify themselves. they, including myself, expect that we can modify the pioneer units to fit our personal needs or wants. its the same saying as "give them an inch and they will take a mile". give us a nice head unit and we want more....but why not give us what we want, i say!

i too think that having seperate vol controls very annoying. i dont even know why they do this. who the hell listens to music at a different level as to hearing the navi directions? has no one at pioneer own their own units? after a few months of use, anyone would notices this as a problem.

vblue is right. these are two different things. so lets say they pull you over. and if they caught you because they saw you use it, its pretty a done deal. you got the ticket. they would not pull you over if they didnt see you do it in the first place. kind of like they asking you how fast you were speeding? if they pulled you over for speeding your done... its basically a rhetorical question at that point. now if they pulled you over for something else and ask you if a video is playing while you drove, then you basically say no you were not watching anything. only you can screw you
