Yes in the options there is a DB setting, and a setting to choose what mutes. Set it for all (VR, Guide, etc) and then set the mute level to 100% or off I forget how it reads. but then it will do 100% mute when you get a call or something.

I did some looking around, does anyone know if we might get a firmware update on some of the late model (like my 2010 x920BT) AVIC units? I also looked and I have the 50 not the 51 cable but oh well, easy upgrade. This is going to sound cliche to and industrial genre fan . . but I listen to nin heavily. have for years. own every album or single/ep trent has popped out. many 2 copies, one open and one still wrapped in plastic. about 30 bootlegs too. but my familiarity with genre stops there. nah i have the pioneer 30pin ipod connector in the glovebox and the aux (3.5mm jack) by the cig lighter that is set to play from av2. so i use the ipod normally but if someone hopped in and wanted me to hear soemthing they can just plug into that instead of disturbing my ipod.

well see its more an issue as in, why does it all show up in the master list. but none of the lists that are meant to sort or categorize. like if i have 3 video albums. 8 tracks each, and 5 misc videos . . right now i cant go to click it to see by album title or artist title. i just get a song/video title by alpha in the master list (one named for the ipod)

lets throw this out there instead, cause i might yield some more discussion worthy results. what types or genres of music to you like. and do you like them live, or studio versions, acoustic etc. what do you think draws you to it. now lets see if this can draw out some intelligent conversation. like vblue, 80s music whats it do for you?

ill make this quick. i did search and search. i had seen a few bluetooth threads but cannot find the ones i am looking for now. but more VR questions. with the VR stuff. I need the music to mute 100% on phone calls. but can i keep the sound on via just the guide and vr stuff. seems to be just one volume for all 3 (checked the manual) and on bluetooth. i am certain you can . . but is it reliabale to pair more then one phone to the same avic and what happens if bluetooth is on for both and you hop in the truck? can you set a priority?

I may need to buy a classic. I am using an old iphone with no sim as an ipod touch for my truck and album art is far from reliable and my library is perfect so . . it sucks but might need to replace this.

iTunes downloaded album art keeps it in a separate place both on the computer and idevices. you would need to embed everything manually then it will go anyplace the files go.

I am having a similar issue. Both with an iphone 3g and and iphone 4. at first album art was there. then after syncs new music would either not have it, or show up as the wrong art. at first restores would ALWAYS fix this. now the album art is is just missing completely. connected my girls iphone 4 just to see. hers was missing it also and it shows up on both iphones and itunes librarys and desktops and windows explorers and finders just about anyplace you could look accept the x920BT in my truck. even shows up on my black berry. doing a restore now to see what happens. i have the pio

The night i got my truck I tried out phone calls cause it was one of the main reasons I got the x920BT and it was awful. I didn't know you could set the mute level to 100% or full mute so It was playing music and the mic was picking it up, and then then I would mute it and call people back and it still sucked people could barely understand me and i was almost yelling. My installer put this at first by the A pillar and I called them and they moved it at no charge to the middle of the truck over the mirror and showed me how to mute the sound level during calls. made all the difference. everyone

on a x920BT can you set it to do 3d just on or when turns are coming up. mine only seems to show and overhead zoomed in 2d. like the normal map just closer.

yea my installers put a nice 3.5mm jack right next to the cig lighter on my dash and it works no matter if an ipod or iphone is plugged in. its set as AV2 works like a champ

I have found that the ipod playlist top playlist for video always works (the one named after the name of the ipod where everything is shown) but it just shows the titles in alpha order. so if you have video albums as i do with the chemical brothers, underworld, radiohead etc. the songs are all mixed and i cannot browse by artist/album or any other way. its like video shuffle.

yea with the avics a restore seems to go a long ways. even if you never had to do it before any little issue it seems to clear right up if you do a restore. i am having album art issues it always fixes that. I had the same issue with the A-Z lettering always saying nothing was there even though i could scroll through the full album list and see them all. restore fixed it.

this happened to me two. a new x920BT and the first 2 weeks i had it it was awesome, and I have noticed the problem randomly.. louder on the right or pass side of vehicle and with my components its easy to tell. also noticed a hiss or some static noise in music that wasnt there before. like an ambient air or "running tape" type sound. this is also intermittent. all started after the last firmware update.

come on with that noob shit, thats why forums like this are here. its a community for a reason and sometimes a persons simple answer is easier the skimming a million words worth of stuff on a cd rom or pdf as a paper manual (for good reason) is no longer available. you were helpful to me when i got my first avic deck but i had no idea you hated the questions.

so i am having an issue. i have an iphone 3g i pulled the sim out of and am just using and an ipod touch (apple support pages tells you how) and randomly when you are in ipod the video menu just comes up blank and stays there, i have to turn the av source to off and restart ipod to snap it back out of its freeze. i restored the iphone once and uploaded all the music again. this did fix it shortly then randomly for no reason its gone again. i have also, rebooted iphone. plugged and unplugged iphone many times. re synced about 5 times. i searched the forums but search doesnt seem to wor
