I'm using the proclip mounted in the same location. Love it. The placement works well as it's right next to the radio and your eyes don't have to move around as much. Doesn't seem too far away. It's the only mount that I could find that has true cable pass through and now hooking up the phone only takes one hand.

"Out of curiousity, why is dual zone such a necessary feature for you? Just curious, cause I never use it..." One word. Kids. I have a daughter who likes to watch SpongeBob in the back with headphones while I listen to my ipod through the speakers (helps keep my sanity). I guess I could get a stand alone dvd player, but what a pain. Why can't Pioneer make a head unit that "has it all"? I'm looking to replace my N1 and was looking at the Kenwood DNX8120 until I saw this. (Sigh)
