Sorry.. Message was posted using my phone, nothing but thumbs here ... Lesson learned.... My question should have been; I just bought a AVIC-D1 and started to look over the parts. The wiring harness for my AVIC does not have the small black box or fuse attached to the yellow wire. What does this box do? Should I try to locate a new harness or do you think it would be possible to get a NEW black box from an audio shop and solder it inline? Cheers and sorry about the bass ackwards tying

From what I have read the VSS is a very good thing to do BUT the system should work without it. The navplus site has two locations for the VSS wire. Both seem not to bad of effort to get.

Another thing I do need to look into is the VSS wire. Since the BOSE system has speed sensitive volume control. This leads me to think there is a speed signal coming to the BOSE head unit????? There are some good direction son the VSS on Navplus site.

Chris, does your A4 have the OEM Bose setup? Any issues with the OEM amp and speakers? Kerry

My A4 Audi has a Bose system (amp and sub). Has anyone hooked up a D1 or D2 to a 2002 A4?
