The parking brake wire goes to the "non-grounded" side of the parking brake switch. If it went to the ground side, when the parking switch was "on" the wire would connect to ground. And when the parking brake switch was "off" the wire would still be connected to ground.
I'm working up to buying a Z2 and installing in '07 Sonata. I'm planning my wiring and install and I need some advice:
What's the consensus on where to put the GPS antenna--inside on rear deck or outside on rear roof or trunk roof. The inside is hugely simpler than outside but I'm worried about reception thru the glass as well as the blocking of a large portion of antenna's "view" by the roof.
I can't believe this is such an "iffy" thing--the Z2 bypass for a $2000 unit. Try grounding this, flick your lights, or maybe cross your fingers while chanting the Pioneer mantra.
Doesn't someone have a brother-in-law who works for Pioneer?
Anyone know why Crutchfield is saying that the Z1/Z2 will not work in a Hyundai 2007 Sonata? I just got the car and haven't taken off the radio panel to see what's behind but there are after-market double-din panels available for the car.
Maybe there isn't enough room in back???
