I had the same problem although the update was not grey'd out. When I tried the update it just failed - I also noticed when I turned the bluetooth option to off or on the unit crashed with an error on tel.exe. I resolved the problem by downloading the official pioneer firmware (Version 2) and manually installed via the engineers menu. now bluetooth is working fine. I was going to reflash with V3 to see what happens, but my car battery died, charging as I type!

any ideas?

Hi Guys, Hope someone can help, updated maps & firware, and Win CE Since then when I go to the phone section and look at the bt software version and it is blank (no software installed) and the BT dont work. I downloaded the bluetooth update from the pioneer site, and choose option > update bluetooth software. It starts running then errors out. is there a back door way a can install this, or any otherway?? Many regards in advance

Quick question - Does it matter what map version you have to do this unofficial update. The reason I ask is the official release will work for me because my map set is 1.x.x.x and it needs to be 2.x.x.x

Afternoon all, Hope someone can help, just purchased a used avic F900BT which has very old maps on (Ver 1) I have updated firmware to 2.009000 which has made the system much faster to use However I would also like to update the maps (UK) on the system, and am looking for a good tut and download links - Please help Also 1 other thing when my ipod classic or iphone is connected via a usb cable, the F900 system controls the pod, but I get no sound - any ideas Thanks in advance Rickie
