1. I've had the NavTraffic service activated for over a year and have used it numerous times on trips to Florida.
2. Anybody getting service in Toronto yet ? I still get nothing...
3. Anyone in Toronto see this service active yet ? I have NavTraffic but it does not appear to be active.
4. From Orbitcast.com: Starting this Saturday (March 31, 2007), XM's real-time traffic data service for GPS nav systems - XM NavTraffic - is adding on six new coverage areas to its reptoire. For the first time, XM NavTraffic subscribers will be able to view real-time traffic info in three Canadian cities, with a total of 50 major markets across North American. The six new XM NavTraffic markets include: Fresno, CA; Jacksonville, FL; Montreal, QB; Salt Lake City, UT; Toronto, ON; and Vancouver, BC. Of note: Portland, OR now has expanded coverage with traffic flow data available allowing you
5. I subscribed to XM NavTraffic even though I live in Toronto. Reason is that I do some travelling in the States and thought that it might come in handy while going through some of the cities covered by the service. The Traffic buttons on my D1 are greyed out so I cannot access the "Traffic Flow" etc buttons. Is this normal while in a city that doesn't have the service ? I have plotted a destination through Detroit but still the buttons are grey. Comments ?
6. Not sure about item # 1 but as for item # 2: Unless you are susbcribed to XM NavTraffic do not connect the data cable from the XM unit to the D2. This is due to a flaw in Ver 1.0 of the software. Version 1.2 and above will correct this issue.
7. You might want to consider doing some research BEFORE you purchase something in the future. Yes, you can get an external DVD player for the D2, but remember, you cannot play videos while in motion unless you perform a "hack".
8. I picked one up at my local Best Buy and it does have power and ground connectors.
9. Use a power inverter available at most electronic stores.
10. Use a power inverter available at most electronic stores.
11. My offer still stands, PM me if you would like copies of either East, West or both.
12. PM me your address and I'll send you a copy of 60MT West.
13. Just saw the D1 at my local Best Buy (East York) for only $999.99.
14. I have East & West as well. PM me if you need copies.
15. Great. One more question. I have an XM tuner (GEX-P10XMT) currently installed. I've read that if you use the CDRB-20 along with the GEX unit that you will hear the audio from both the XM and the AUX input at the same time. Is this true ?
16. I'll be sending smoothjwm both the East & West discs tomorrow, he should have them on Friday.
17. Does the Pioneer CDRB-20 Aux input Adapter require power or is it simple an IP pass-through unit ? I've seen two differebt pictures online and some show a power cable while some don't. If it is powered, is this something that is easily installed or, being car radio installation retarded, should I get a "pro" to do it ?
18. Anyone know how to get into a service menu on the D1 ?
19. So XM is selling you XM + NavTraffic at less then the price for XM alone ? I find that a little hard to believe.
20. Googling while considering purchasing the unit.
21.
Just 5 good channels????
XM (or Sirius for that matter) content is subjective. There's a channels for every type of music genre you can think of. Plus all the talk, sports and comedy channels.
22. I have never heard of an XM hack. Don't even try. If you can't afford $12.95 a month after buying an AVIC head unit then you've got bigger issues to deal with.
