do you need a special mic? I tried with a regular mic and for some reason when I hit start it comes back with "Error. Please check MIC."
  4. No you can not view nav on other screens
  5. I have alternator whine, this is the second unit (930) in my truck (08 Titan) and its the same this was installed by a professional shop. even with ground loop filters I can still hear it faintly. anyone have any advise?
  6. pasha75 are you saying you are able to turn that screen off? if so please give details....
  7. I'll check the speed as for the reset I did that a few times. as I'm crossing streets the unit is fairly accurate. its the parallel roads that tend to annoy me. But I will check the speed if it matches up.
  8. Mine is connected and working better now that the unit is swapped out for a new one. I am still having problems with parallel roads. If I'm on a highway and I exit off onto a parallel side road it keeps me on the highway. or if I'm driving on a side road and I get onto a highway it keeps me on the side road.....
  9. and if its not how did you fix yours?
  10. I took mine to a stereo shop they had to fix my GPS. Anyway, when the powered it up it asked for a password and they couldn't unlock it they ended up replacing it with a new one. I never set a password nor did I know it even had that option.
  11. The stereo shop first moved my antenna outside on the roof (which did not help) then they wanted to hook up the speed pulse sensor but for some reason the radios harness did not have one (and on a side note the radio password protected itself and we couldn't unlock it), so they finally swapped it for a new one. It is better, the location is close when I'm driving (intersections and GPS location) but its still not right with parallel streets. The unit shows off ramps into a parallel road but as I take the off ramp it keeps me on the road that I was traveling on?? is there a setting that could b
  12. Had the same problem it was the connection at the radio. I took the stress off of the plug by taping the cable to the top of the unit. (Might have to wiggle the plug) its been fine since I did that about a month ago.
  13. Talked to the shop where I bought it and they will swap it on Tuesday for a new one. I also talked with pioneer and they also advised to send it in for repair.
  14. I just spent 2 days watching that screen. It jumps around from 0-3 bars on the cell tower and the red sats 7-10 yellow sats 0-3 I'll try to reposition the GPS antenna and see what happens.
  15. What should this screen look like in an ideal situation?
  16. Moving the antenna and putting it on a metal plate did not help.
  17. I just moved my antenna from the side of the dash to the middle and placed a metal piece (not the original metal piece) under it. I hope this helps get a better signal.
  18. No the audio shop that installed it did not use it.
  19. The Antenna is on the dash of the passenger side. I will turn off "Keep Position On Road" and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestions. If this doesn't work maybe there is something wrong with the antenna itself?
  20. It is so annoying when I'm driving on a highway and it shows me on a side road that is parallel with the highway. even if I change current location myself it still reverts back to the wrong location.
  21. Anyone know how to do a reset on this x930bt?
  22. I got my AVIC-x930BT a few weeks ago and my GPS location is at times a block away from my actual location. I didn't notice this in the first week or two, but now it is starting to get very annoying, I tried to manually change location but it doesn't help. any ideas?
  23. I had a problem with my Ipod connection on the usb cable I had to wiggle the plug at the radio. at first my Ipod wasn't even recognized by the radio, after playing around with the plug in the back of the radio it started to work, then as I was putting everything back together it would loose stereo and play on one channel. so I had to take it back out and wiggle the plug and I laid the cable across the top of the radio with some tape to take the stress off the plug. its been fine for 2 weeks now.
