  1. I'm willing to bet it's just the work done by an idiot marketing person who didn't have their work checked by someone who actually knows the product.
  2. Make sure pandora is not running in the background on your phone. Force-quit all your open apps.
  3. I am continuing to use my 4 in the car for all music and nav functions. I am using the 5's Wifi hotspot feature so the 4 can still do MotionX and Waze and receive Pandora.
  4. It's not going to work (yet). Once my lightning-30pin adaptor arrives, I'll prove it to you. Down the road, when Apple releases their hdmi and vga adaptors, we may be able to get it operational.. but until that happens, nobody will know.
  5. Tethering is not only for jailbroken phones. Any of verizon's new plans and at&t's 2gb+ shared plans include tethering. Not sure about Sprint. There is a little hope, though. MacRumors and TheVerge are reporting that Apple says an adaptor will be out in the near future that is capable of HDMI and VGA out. http://www.theverge.com/2012/9/13/3329062/apple-lightning-hdmi-vga-cable-adapter-coming-months
  6. I am going to get an iPhone 5 regardless.. What I plan on doing until there is a workable solution, is I will continue connecting my iPhone 4 in the car, with no cellular service, and I will WiFi tether the 4 to the 5's data plan so I will still have functional navigation/pandora capabilities.
  7. I am uncertain of that working. I think the connection with that cable is digital for audio and ipod controls, but it specifically mentions RGB, which is an analog signal.... Plus, the extra connector on the Appradio for video is s-video I think, which also is analog. Apple's info on the Lightning connector tout it as "fully digital" .... So I think the current generation of headunits is going to be SOL with the iPhone 5.
  8. I don't know what's going to happen. The page for apple's Lightning-to-30-pin-adapter says "This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Video and iPod Out not supported." The whole presentation on iPhone 5's new connector during the keynote suggests (to me) that they have removed video output capabilities from the new connector... Phil schiller made it a point to mention that now everyone uses airplay.... So I'm not sure what's going to happen. Apple may have killed all aftermarket headunits that have any kind of App Mode.
  9. Do you have location services activated in your phone's settings?
  10. Does anyone else set their clock to be the same time on the iPhone, then like a week or two later, the clock is like 10 minutes slow? It would be groovy if the AppRadio clock would sync with the iPhone clock anytime the iPhone is connected.
  11. I emailed motionX the other day, they said some others had requested music controls on the head unit screen and they are going to be working it out on a future version.
  12. Hello! If you do the click-the-appradio-home-button-twice thing to bring up the audio control overlay, you can still track forward and back and pause on the Appradio's screen regardless of what app is running. It's not an issue for me because I have all the songs on my iPhone set for random, but if you wanna play a specific artist you'd still need to browse with MotionX's in-app music browser.
