hi please help i am going tomorrow for the install and i asked the installer about the auto dimm he seem familiar with this unit he told me how it only has the auto day mode and does not have a auto nite mode so i have to manly dimm the unit at nite time he said i asked him about running it to eh headlamp switch or something he said he can look into it and see how that would work I would like to get some info on this so when i go in in the Morning i can explain to him how others have done this so he can try it for me please any help would be great thank you

ok so i was just wondering is there a remote that works with out X series ? anyone know seems like all the remotes i seen on pioneer's website non of them are for the x-series and id really like to have one

i was wondering do you all run your ground to the Harness ground or do you ground yours off directly to the chassis somewhere is one better then the other ?

to the OP did you ever figure out if they just did not hook up the VSS wire properly or if it was hooked up and something els was going on ?

hmm if the OP did this on a F series how come this can't be done in the x series ? i though the F serries was taken over sees and the X series is the F just renamed because of issues that where going on with them when they called them the F here in the state am i wrong about this ?

do these knobs go over the exxsisting knob or do we have to pull the knob off and put the new one on

i was just reading the comment on the video that soundman put up on youtube of the bypass the one thats posted here somewhere also it can't be the units that where changed cause someone els just commented that it works just fine i think last week and a month ago also may be the harness that is bad

so if you go over one with the pin over one slot to the outside then it works but only for a little whyll and ones it is in motion it will then lock out again ? is this what your saying ? and then the correct way is to move it one slot down not on the outisde but just one slot down or up how ever you look at it ?

hmm wonder if anything could have been changed in the harness perhaps anyone think that pioneer figured out what we where doing and decided to change things up or do you think they wouldn't bother because it would be got around again ? could be that who ever you had pull the mute wire the first time screwed up the pin and damaged that or maybe even the plug itself perhaps how many firmware versions have there been so far for the x930bt is 3.000 the first one and they started at 3.000 now they are at 3.001 or did they have something earlier in the x930bt models maybe others have n

one way to tell if its possibly the firmware or software on the unit is what date your unit was boxed up and packaged new if it was in June there is a good chance it has the new software firmware if it was before june that it probalby doesn't since the newer software came out in june mine was packaeged up with a sticker that says June 2011 and im hoping that perhaps if it was erly june it won't have the software and can confirm that also maybe check your units and find out what software you do have if you have the older one then its probalby not if you have the newer one who knows maybe it

yeah i have been searching youtube the only thing i found was how to install the x930bt in a audi and it used another type of harness and i really was looking for something on how to install it in a cadillac then there is also the programming on how to program the steering wheel control interface and im not sure how that is done I did call this one place near me as soon as my friend who was going to do it told me i have to take my car for a rear end work on Saturday so that meant i can't go to him since he takes his car for rear end work lol so im not going to wait till the fallowing

i wonder if they really changed the software during the time has anyone bought these units in the last sevral months and or updated the firmware or software on it and does it work for you i geuss thats the only way to know for sure well maybe you who are having the issues might want to try and put one of the older firmwares or software on if it can be down graded perhaps to an older firmware and see how it works or maybe the mute wire is just not in properly perhaps

hmm maybe you need to contact pioneer they maY to replace the mic perhaps Do they have any issues with saying they hear echos ? i know one of my units what would happen is the mic would pic up what evyerone was saying over the car speakers and then they would be hearing it back threw the mic and i wonder if that is a issue with this unit don't have it hooked up to test i also know my car was built like it's supposed to keep noise from outside outside and whats inside inside the amount of madding and insulation they put in the cadillac that i drive so i don't have any noise and won

I wonder if it does have something to do with the software maybe they changed something in the more recent models what happens when you click ok does the system work at all or does eveyring fade away even if your not going moving ?

how exactly do your knobs work when you do get one for the x930bt model does it just go right over the existing knob or does it replace the existing knob

i think i read somewhere that the x930bt has a mode selection for Auto/Day mode but not nite i think there is a wire that is supposed to be connected to the headlamp or something along that line so that when your headlamps turn on the nite mode turns on but im not sure Am interested in knowing this also

Im not having any problems yet i just opened the package it came in and noticed there was no documents with it to say anything about pioneer or the model number it was so im guessing maybe it was purchased ones and returned and who ever returned it did not put all the info back in perhaps or i was worried that maybe someone purchased it and then returned it for a refund but only send back there cheap knock off because some are not honest out there it just looked a little suspect and i want to make sure i have the right one and not a cheap nock of like the thread says

do you think that is from noise interference and no noise suppression filter or is it from window open ? have you tried to adjust the mic in different spots and place ? also is this from what those on the other side of the phone say or how have you come to figure out it sucks ?

What im going threw is i got my cable and i ordered it from amazon.com and got it from amazon not a 3rd party on amazon and they are a authorized pioneer dealer but the cable did not come with anything that said Pioneer on it or any paper work from pioneer so makes me wonder if someone just returned a cable that was a knock off in place of the real one after purchasing it and thinking since there is no way to really tell the difference between the 2 or not so i won't know till i get the system up and running but for those who have purchased the cables form authorized pioneer dealers and g

yeah crutchfield would help me if i didnt know what i need but i do know what i need i actualy ave all the parts ordered but still waiting for them to come in im just tyring to get a picture in my head of how to do the install when i say this i mean what wires i have to connect to each others for the GMOS06 i know that plugs right into the Car radio harness but do i have to splice wires from the Pioneer head unit to the GMOS 06 or do they connect like plugs or do i need to splice them togethere
