  1. I found that one also. I have no clue who the host site is thus I wouldn't download from there. I don't need anymore junk mail or spyware.
  2. I no sooner type that and come up with four on the first page!
  3. I searched 5 pages using the search function and key words before giving up.
  4. Can someone point me in a direction to download or view a N2 parts diagram or breakdown? I'd like to take a stab at repairing my unit since I haven't had any luck scoring someone willing to fix it.
  5. Well, I tried several times and variations of trying to load POI's on this thing, no luck. Looks like this will become a work truck radio. I'm really disappointed with the capabilities of this radio. For the coin I should run out of ideas before it runs out of features. Zumo shopping I will go..............
  6. I like the idea behind this site as it is brand specific.
  7. That intro is to the point. Welcome to AVIC 411 Drew.
  8. Ok who is the resident repair man (Or woman) on the site? I have an AVIC N2 that as the sticky post describes won't cooperate. Well I made it worse by making it do what I wanted it to do. SO I can see I need a new gear on the screen side and possibly a tension spring. I am no repair man and have no desire to go in there thus why I asked who repairs units from this forum. I can PM you my number if you have more questions before you commit to attempting to repair this.
  9. Update: As per all of your suggestions I went out this morning and started checking out the possibilities. The voice command from one speaker made sense so I started there. The voice does indeed come out of the car speakers as suggested above as opposed to what I thought was a internal speaker. With some more testing I found that the voice comes from the front channel only not the rears. This is why I wasn't hearing it in my headphones as they are driven off of the rear outputs. So I swapped my connections and than realized that I would not be able to hear the voice unless I had my headpho
  10. Thank you. I think your on to something.
  11. Now that could be a possibility. It is definitely worth looking into. If that is the case I guess I can wire in some sort of switch to toggle from one set (no headphones) to the other (headphones).
  12. It is on because I can hear it just fine without my ear phones in. Keep in mind without ear phones I run the radio in the 50's volume wise and at about 9 with the ear phones! It is baffling to say the least.
  13. I just need the navigation and MP3 features on a bike. If entering POI's has to be done manually this thing is useless on a bike. Having the dealers is a must while travelling. The Zumo is able to take them without having to type the several thousand entries in. I'll keep working on it before I pull it out and toss it in the work truck.

    Rear camera

Thank you for the reply. I guess that is a no on this camera! I don't use the camera for anything other than a novelty. I was going to remove it however it is just as useless on the shelf so I left it on the bike.
  15. I'm not certain of which category to post this under so in the Mod section it goes. I'm looking for information on the speaker or source of the voice that tells you when to turn. It does not come through the speaker outputs. I know this as I have a head set attached to the rear speaker outputs and while the music interrupts the voice commands do not come through those outputs. What I'd like is to find the source of this voice and relocate it to an external speaker if possible. Something with an amp hooked to it and inside of my fairing! No just kidding. A small external speaker would b
  16. Sort of. The voice direction does not travel through the speaker outputs. This I know for fact as it doesn't make any noise in my helmet as the music does.
  17. Thieves are not generally rocket scientists. I would not be surprised if they hit the local dealer to get the rest of the pieces that they need. I had a truck broken into some 15 years ago. The way I tell the story is it wasn't the radio missing that bothered me as I had insurance for that. It was the fact they broke my window and I caught a cold while driving to and from work waiting for the new window.
  18. Having joined April 6th of this year and looking at the few posts I have made I realized I never made a proper introduction of myself. I apologize and here it is. I'm a real late thirty something year old who is now getting to enjoy life a little. I'm an avid motorcyclist weather it is riding, wrenching or spectating. I can't say I have a brand loyalty however I do prefer Harley's but would own and ride anything you left in my garage. My Pioneer AVIC experience comes via an installation in one of my bikes (I own four). The unit is installed in a 2001 Screamin' Eagle Road Glide. I've owned

    Rear camera

Reading some of the camera posts it raised a question. Is there a way to change the view/direction? Meaning, if I were to mount the camera up side down the view would be up side down on the screen. Can the screen view be changed? I ask as I have this on my Harley and to ideally mount the camera it would work for me considerably better if it were mounted on its side.
  20. OK I read my manual for the POI installation procedure and it is useless. So back to my original post. I'm able to load the POI I'd like on a disc. Now is it as simple as installing the disc in the unit and the system will take over?
  21. coocho, can you elaborate on what the brain change is? (I build chimneys and fireplaces for a living )
  22. I purchased my unit for the Navigation and the MP3 format. I'm sure it does a lot more. Quite often forums like this can explain and walk one through these type of things a little simpler than 14 pages of manual. Where is my manual?????
  23. I've never done a thing with this unit other than type in where I'd like to go.
