I am using an iPhone 4s that is not jail broken. I am using a brake bypass not the toggle switch style but the relay type. I messed with this yesterday and I can't get pandora to work if I want motion x to display in app mode. If I keep motion x on the phone only then I can have pandora on the main screen and motion x on the phone and still get voice directions over the system. I dont know anything about jail broken phones so won't be much help there.

I am not having either problem you mention. Motion x relies on a data connection 3G or edge is it possible you are in an area where there was no data coverage? Maybe try downloading the map prior to departure and see if it works?

The one concern I have is the advanced app mode, if it's anything like the app radio it's going to be slow and buggy and a general pain to use. I returned my app radio for the AVH-P4400BH which is fantastic.

App Radio has been returned, the latest firmware 2.45 was the breaking point, even with 2.22 pioneer made this unit so much harder to use than it should have. Swapped to the new Pioneer AVH-P4400BH, does just about the same thing other than not as many apps that I never used anyway. As long as motion x and pandora work I'm good. And the brake bypass works, no freaking warning screen on start up and boot time is 5 sec. Maybe in a few years they will have the app radio better sorted.

Turn your car to acc but do not start it, then turn your key back to off, that should disable it

I have it on the steering column seems to work ok

I believe it works with iPhone 4 and 4th gen iPod touch only. Not sure on the clock issue haven't had that problem.
