  1. thanks for that sorry about the repost
  2. I just recently did this with one of the slim ps2's. It's fairly easy depending on how your car is setup. The hardest part is going to be the power issue. Obviously it easy for the A/V portion of it. You just hook it up the the rca ports that come from the D3. For the ps2's power my car gave a convient solution with the cigarette lighter because it was really close to where i had my ps2 I used this:http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4183750
  3. I have a D3 and when i'm using my ipod it works fine except one thing. when you go to the artist lets say veggie tales then you choose a song usually you can use the menu button to go back to the song list. that usually works for me unless i turn the car off then when it starts back up the menu button doesn't work any more. Is that just normal?
  4. that time delay is the biggest problem i'm having the other thing is when it is on the radio i click the track up button instead of it going to the next station it just goes to the next radio frequency i.e. p1 is 101.1 and p2 is 102.5 and if i hit the button i think it should go to p2 but instead it goes to 101.3 but i don't know if that's a problem with the pac or the d3 cause if you press the track button on the actually d3 it does the same thing. but yeah that delay super sucks
  5. i have that same unit the pac-swip and I have to hold down the button i want for like a full second before it takes do you think it might be how it's installed
  6. My guidance voice won't actually turn off. No matter how I set it when she is supposed to talk a static sound comes on for the duration she would be saying something. Just wondering if ya'll know any solutions
  7. Yeah i did mistype sorry bout that i actually got it all hooked up like you said some of the colors didn't match the ILL wire which is orange on the d3 side actually goes to the red/blue wire on the altima it's not in the harness but it is in the connector that goes into the harness
  8. Well I was just going to try to do it based off the 06 model and see if it worked. Do you know how to hook up those ohm resistors? maybe I' looking at the wrong connector where would connector be?
  9. Yeah I looked at that but the plug doesn't match the one in my altima but it matches for the 06 Altima. also I don't really know how i connect these ohm resistors. Do I just stick it in the hole?
  10. I just need some help understaning what to do when installing the steering wheel controls on my 07 altima if anybody can help that would be great thanks alot
  11. I got it all hooked up and it comes on but there is no sound at all My harness has a blue/white cable that is amp on but i don't think i have any where for that to hook up to so it's not connected to anything everything else is connected with it mate color but there is no sound from the system it's a 07 nissan altima with bose
  12. you wanna help me with my sound issue on my D3? That will pass the time
  13. My harness has a blue/white cable that is amp on but i don't think i have any where for that to hook up to so it's not connected to anything
  14. I got it all hooked up and it comes on but there is no sound at all and also my ipod isn't showing up under the ipod category it's in the ext1 or something like that but right now i'm most worried about the sound
  15. I finally found my color code chart and it says that the blue/white cord that i have on the wire harness is used for "amp turn-on" and i have it connected to the the ILL cord which is more than likely wrong, but if i disconnected it i have nothing to connect to the ILL wire... Is that okay?
  16. It's a 07 Altima and i'm using a metra 70-7552 wire harness
  17. I hooked up my D3 i'm still not exactly sure about the hook up but all the colors matched except for the ILL cord but i plugged everything up and grounded it but it won't turn on. -I didn't solder the connection.... Is that a must for it to turn on... -I only plugged up the power and the rca do you have to plug up anything else for it to turn on
  18. 1. I'm trying to install the D3 in my 07 altima with bose I have a backup camera i just wanted to know if the my camera is the only thing that is going to plug into this rca bunch of cords 2. and i can't figure out what color goes with what with the 70-552 wire harness and the power connector 3. and how do i hook up the vss wire Thanks in advance for any help
  19. What are the major difference between the d2 and the d3. I was wondering because the d2 is so much more expensive. Which one is better in your opinions
  20. I think I might get now but if you can get me a pic of your setup it would be great. thanks man
  21. To ground the mute and the parking brake I'm going to have to cut the ends off of them right?
  22. I'm confused the what kind of male connector am I looking for. The parking break already looks like it has a wire tap on it and the mute wire has something on the end of it also. sorry if I'm totally not getting this but as you can tell this isn't my thing. There is the mute wire. I'm supposed to get a male connector of some kind and put onto it then put a wire tap onto that? can i use this wire tap for the mute wire how do i connect this to the mute wire and the ground wire
  23. Yeah that sounds pretty rough to do... How do i use the wire taps. Do I have to cut the mute wire to put it in the wire tap
  24. ok so do I need to use the wire tap that was provided in the box with D3, and how do i connect this ground tap thing on the end of the parking break wire to the spade connector thing
