  1. I sent my N1 to have the DVD drive repaired about a year ago. It was roughly a week and a half from me sending it out to when I got it back...
  2. OK, so I just did the solder bypass but now the screen doesn't move and the screen and front display doesn't light up. The buttons light up and the fan starts, but nothing else happens. Pressing the eject button seems to work (no disc in player, but I can hear the motor). I can't say for sure if those damned zif connectors for the screen are completely inserted, I'm having one hell of a time with them. They appear to be inserted as far as possible, but they don't seem to be completely straight. If I even breath in their direction they pull back out. This unit does have the upgraded flex ca
  3. I know you can hook up an iPod to the AVIC, but is there any way to get it to read music files from a USB jumpdrive? Alternatively, are there any compatible CD-changers that handle MP3s? The CDX-P680 and CDX-P1280 don't seem to work with MP3s and I can't find any others. I want to be able to play music while leaving the nav disc in the head unit so I have navigation available all the time; any other ideas to accomplish this are welcome also...
  4. I just finished reinstalling my N1 after getting it repaired and installed the PAC-SWIPS steering wheel interface adapter at the same time. I had to program it a couple of times to get it to work right, but no big deal. It's not perfect, but it does work well. The only things that make it less than perfect at this point are that 1) it sometimes registers 2 or 3 clicks when I only hit the button once, and 2) I haven't yet figured out how to get the track up button to go through my presets instead of manually going to the next station/channel...
