heres something a lot of people dont know most of your electronics in your house are DC supplied those little adapters that plug into electrical outlets then have another that plug into the device convert your ac into to dc.. you can find one at radio shack that puts out 12v's cut the plug off it use a meter to find power and ground. Should cost no more then 10 bucks. also walmart kmart amazon sells ciggeratte adapters for you house and you could always get an old car chager use that and cut the connector of the old cell phone car charger. or you could use an old computer supply like you s -
ok so have been giving this a lot of thought and figured id post up on how to do this. first you need to jailbreak you phone. Then buy the tv out or display out app from cydia, the mimics module drivers, sb rotator and landscapelock. you need to then purchase the mimics module from mp3car.com or customgadz if you want to keep the radio functions you will need the oem switcher module they are fairly cheap and can be found on both sites.( not required if you just wanna use the the unit as a screen and touch panel) once the module arrives you need to open up the unit and locate the

yea this is what started to turn me away from the first solution from them. I also noticed bluetooth was active durning the video and that if you slow the video down enough you can see they have a calibrate app for the screen and there is a whole folder named "hacks" so it might just be apps/drivers. also when they went into their setting app the mimics driver wasnt there and there was no mimics driver icon in the upper right hand corner which leaves me to hope that its just software.

yes!!!!!!!!! this is what ive been waiting for!! i almost went with the mimics module but figured i would wait til some figured this out! i even email custom gadz to see if they knew a way and they didnt seem interested! only that they would have a list of aftermarket headunits that worked with there module! EDIT: if you watch the video close enough were the carrier is usually displayed it says " customgadz" the makers of the mimics module. so it seems too me they verified it worked with their module and that the app radio is a 4 wire touch screen or ,i emailed them a few months ago and a

yes i think i do. first you just have to think how they got this to work in the first place and its over bt and installing drivers on your phone. the chip they make you buy essentially is just a bluetooth module that only communicates sensor data from the screen. since the chip has some sort of software/ code on you would need to write that code to the bluetooth module inside the unit. this can be done by getting there source code from there unit and intergrating into the current firmware and write it to the sd card

hey im deciding between the sph-da01/100 or the mimic module... and was wondering if when in display out/ tv out can i touch the screen like on the mimics and control the phone? i know the parking brake would have to be overrided, and what not... and would go with the mimics but just seems to be in a very beta stage.
