I just found out that the avox don't play wmv. I guess I will convert all my video to avi.

I am using avox jukebox, I plan on hiding it behind the dash. It have a av output that could go to any tv, monitor or the d3, so you could see all the media on the harddrive

thanks. I received my avox tuesday. I was going to install my 120gb harddrive from newegg and I realize that they sent me a sata drive. I call them and they said its a warehouse mistake. the error have to be corrected in the warehouse first before I reorder the correct drive. they give me a $25 credit. I know the avox could read wmv and avi, but which one is prefer? I record in both because my archos read avi and my pda & wm5 8125 phone can read both format. I received my avox in the mail today. I notice the manufatured date was 08/2005. am I missing something with this older model?

I just bought the 120gb harddrive from newegg for $75. I need to order a power adapter for the car. The psp car adapter cost around $30. that is a lot for a transformer to reduce 12-14volt to 5 volts. I will be hardwiring my power supply so I don't need the cigarette lighter adapter. I could get a small 12v to 120v converter for that price. I have pocket dvd studio that I used to convert my dvds. I can convert them to avi or wmv. I can adjust the output size. I used around 450mb on a 2hr movie. Should I convert to wmv or avi for the AVOX?

what hdd do you recommend and what should I stay away from

I don't know if this was mention within the last 130 post, but when doing the bypass make sure the wire is rotated 180 degree before putting it in the new position. rotating the wire will make the lock pin line up with the lock tab. If its not lock in it could get push out when you plug in the connector or make poor contact. thanks avic 411 for the info.
