  1. Yup that is how it is for me too. Not sure if its Pioneer or Navteq but something here sucks.
  2. I can not get the radio station info to display on my 140 either. We do not have HD radio in Canada but the old Bose HU showed the station and song info, I would have thought this new would have done that too. At the very least is there a way to program the name of the station manually. So far not too impressed with this HU.
  3. I cut the mute wire from the Axxess and it seems to work OK for now. I still have the amp and new speakers & BU Cam to install so I will have another look when I have time to install the rest of the system
  4. either way the VC seems to suck - the manual says you can still use VC for NAV but it does not seem to work, the VC in general seems like 1st generation stuff.
  5. I have recently installed a Z140Bt in my avalanche. I used the axxess module GMOS04 and the AWSC. I have connected all the wires that seemed reasonable. Now the mute (ATT) comes on randomly. I went for a 2.5 drive yeaterday. first half was great no mute, then the mute slowly started to kick in, now it's almost always on. I am thinking I need to disconnect the mute wire. Comments pls? BTW great forum here.
  6. try living in Alberta!! As soon as you are outside a city your map turns grey with just a 1 pixel wide line to represent the road - my $ 100 GPS is way better
