  1. In case anyone is trying to do this for off-road, limo, or store display use, microbypass has their new 2013 interfaces out, and we have been using them for about two weeks in our shop and they work perfectly. There really easy to install, and work.
  2. If it switches to a black screen, but you dont get a picture, when you put the vehicle in reverse, then it is a camera related issue. If it does not even switch to the back-up screen, then it is a wiring or software issue with your 8400. One thing I can suggest is to make sure you have a clean connection to the backup light circuit. Try to splice this wire into the circuit inside the vehicle. Outside the vehicle if you splice it in and don't solder/heatshrink seal the connection it may oxidize the wires and lose the connection, or create enough resistance in the connection that the radio does
  3. It sounds like your parking brake wire on your radio might not actually be connected to your vehicles parking brake correctly. If you want to bypass it automatically every time you turn it on, microbypass has a bypass out already that does the whole Pioneer 2013 video lineup already. We use them in our shop, and it is definitely the easiest way to bypass the radio. It is a simple 3-wire connection at the back of the radio, and is pre-programmed, so you don't have to set it up or anything.
  4. Check Out the Microbypass.com Website they sell the replacement Pins. there the same for the Avic X & Z. Ive been using them I go thru about 10 every 2 weeks.
  5. Another Confirmation that this unit works. I've put in atleast 5 of these units with this bypass. I use all the Pioneer bypasses on the Microbypass website. http://www.microbypass.com/index.php
  6. Make sure you have the iPhone plugged into the radio so you get the TV out option to show up.
  7. I like to use the Microbypass website for all the Pioneer Radios.
