All calling functions work through the z130. Incoming outgoing and voice recognition functions as well. Just remember to turn on echo canceling.

Two things; 1. in response to HyPnOtlk, Don't know about z110 updated to z120 but I have been placing and receiving calls (even with Voice recognition) thru my z130 headunit with the block adapter plugged into my Iphone 5 no problem. 2, In response to Trjons, Yes there is a microchip in the Apple adapters.

I spent hours putting them in numerical order then doudled checked and redid the ones that where out of order on the sdcard. Thanks for the info I'll give this a try and see what happens.

I recently spent a couple of hours rearanging by Music library to be more z130 friendly. Took time to sort them into folders so I didn't have to scroll all over the place to find the group I wanted. That worked out well,but what I don't understand is why when I made sure that they were all setup to play an album from track 1 - the last track they keep showing up out of numerical order. Is it me or is an SD card/z130 thing. I want to hear the album in the order it was recorded. Any suggestions?

DRM Buster is the easiest way,when you rip a youtube video it gives you a menu with the formats you can convert them too. I use MP4 and import them to Itunes for my Iphone and play them thru it. I have been using my 30 pin adapter (block style) with my Z130 and the new Proclip Iphone 5 cradle. This is what I am getting from my 5 1. All audio from Pandora (which is working flawlessly). 2. All audio from my playlists 3. All audio alerts from my Escort Live app. 4. Charging of course 5.Only gripe I have is that everytime I plug the phone in while listening to another source, the Z goes into App mode. I also have my 3gs plugged into AV2 on video and get all my video playlists there.

Ok my 9500ci/Escort Live system is finally complete. I had to wait for Apple to release the 30-8 pin adapter to connect to my Z130. Here is what you will get. 1. VBLUE is correct you will not get anything on screen. 2. You will get voice alerts through the headunit if your phone was in speaker on when signing in to the Escort Live app. 3. Only the audio messages that the Live app generates are heard through the headunit not the 9500ci.

It is really easy. 1. Connect the Red wire from the Power Tamer vs (PTvs) to a constant battery power source. 2. Connect the Black wire from the PTvs to ground 3. Connect the Orange wire from the PTvs directly to the power wire from your Z unit don't splice it in. this should be the only power in to the Z unit. 4. Disregard the Yellow wire from the PTvs. It is not needed. 5. Set all the dip switches to the off position. This will put the PTvs into test mode, giving you 5 seconds to start the engine. I wired the unit this way. Red wire of the Power Tamer VS to my 12v distribution block. Black wire of the Power Tamer VS to my Ground distribution block. Orange wire of the Power Tamer VS to the Red 12v lead of the Z unit's power connector. I did not use the Power Tamer VS yellow lead, it is not needed. Sorry for the confusion. This is a great unit.

I wired it under the dash in my Explorer. When I removed the bottom of the the dash under the steering wheel there wes a metal bracket that the power tamer fit perfect. Just set all the dip switches to off, that will put it in the 5 second "test mode". I didn't use the optional ignition wire. No reboots at all, Power stays on for 5 seconds after you open the door, normal.

Does anyone know wher the VSS and Reverse wires are on this truck? Putting a Z3 in it for a friend.

it was just a lol remark not personal. The other thing is that the Escort Live app relies upon the number of reports from other users in your area. If there are only a few people that have the system where you are you will only get a few reports. Here is the link so you can figure out for yourself if it is a good investment for you. Well it might display on the unit if it was AV2 and set to video. Won't know until mine comes in should be Friday or Monday.

UPDATE; Escort has just released a Smartcord Live directwire for the 9500ci. It goes in between the display and the main interface. It retails for $149.95 and uses ethier an Iphone or Android. Not sure if the info displayed on the phone will display on the headunit though. Just ordered mine and will post after a through evaluation. The product info looks interesting hope it is worth the money.
