1. I must of missed that part.. And I'm not sure I know how to do that...? Let me see...I am actually going for a ride right now so i'll look at it and see. and then try again. Matt
2. I have moved my mic to just behind the steering wheel (just like the pic of the Armada up top AND NOTHING CHANGED! Still echo on the other end yadda yadda yadda. I have thought about maybe a cotton ball at the end of the mic to act as a filter to unwanted sounds and so forth. I figured I'd try to put just a cotton ball atop the mic and see if that helps.... I forgot to call pioneer and lean into them about this. I will call them today this afternoon. Matt
3. To get my 2 cents in the 300C is a fine selection. But i will say this relizing that you said sedan/auto as opposed to suv but I have a 2002 Pathfinder and I love right where the Z1 sits. I can have the elbow rest comfortably on the arm rest/consol and the wrist rests atop the shifter and the Z1 is right there at the end of the finger tips. Not any difficulty with having to lean forward or sit up or yadda yadda yadda. With the tilt on MAX+ looks great and comfortable to interact with as well. matt VT
4. I'm going to be calling them first thing tomorrow morning. I'm pissed!!! I bought the Z1 just for the Bluetooth and Nav, just the same. Typically I am acting as the driver for the company and having to write things down on the fly having one less item in my hands is something I was really looking forward to. Now, I have only tried it from two different phones but so far ECHO ECHO ECHO. The dispatcher cant read orders to me, nor can I speak with clients like this! I am going to try the mic relocation method tomorrow. It makes sense. I'll post what I discover from the mic move. Currentl
5.
Reverse Light yellow + kick panel, harness to rear Speed Sense white/blue cruise module in Drivers Kick Panel
Does that mean that there are two wires in two different places that make up the vss and speed pulse wires that need to be connected to the unit? Please forgive my ignorance. But it may turn out that it is I or the installer that screwed up the first two times that tries to fix it. Thanks much! -Matt-
6. Okay cool, I will give that a shot and see where it brings us. Thanks so much as always....! MH
7. I would like to find out about the vss wire for the 2002 nissan pathfinder le. Had installer look at it 2 times so far and nothing seems to be worng but I dont have a speed pulse? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work! MH
8. I dont know how to separate out the conversation to respond to particular points or questions. So i'll do the best I can... Ducatiboy- In the 3d configuration screen are you simple hybrid or 3d hybrid? mhyde71- It usually says learning status because i am having to reset it everyday. But once it is comnplete it says simple hybrid. Once and only once have I ever seen it say 3d Hybrid. Ducatiboy- If you go to the connection status screen when you drive does the speed sense wire ever change? You say no, but check to be sure. mhyde71- really never changes... and i've w
9. Hi DUCATIBOY, Oh, well then forget the cloth/cleaning tissue. I figured windex and newspaper or paper towel works fine for me. Actually, I had logged on today to the forum to see about having a few concerns I've been having with the Z1 addressed. In fact, I may start a new topic if I don't find an appropriate topic to post it in. But my initial thinking that you, Ducatiboy, were the one to approach with this. The long and the short of it is that I may need to go to a Circuit City or something. But here is what the trouble I am having: Every morning as I take off to g
10. Geeze I dont remember seeing any cloth, or otherwise, to clean the screen in my box...??? Was there supposed to be one? MH
11. What's that about? Theres a way to have USB conncted to the Z1? I haven't installed mine yet, and if someone thinks they might know how to wire it up or where to find, i'd be more than happy to check it out! Mhyde
12. I kid you not i was in Newport, New Hampshire and things going smoothly , no problem, and all of a sudden I was driving in the Bering Strait. Unbelievable, I had to call in to the office to laugh about it. I shut it down and turned car off for a moment, got a coffee etc.. and it was fine. I personally think it is/was a satelite/tranmitter issue. Stuff like that used to happen when i used delorme in th car with laptop and i had to call once or twice to delorme and the tech guy thr said that it can happen with radio waves or something like that in the area.
13. well as i mentioned in a previous reply..." spoke to Peter and he said everything was in stock on my order..." Box came yesterday and NO BLUETOOTH!!!!! Customer service said it was a simple mistake and that the sales person (Peter) was in fact looking at a live screen but that 6ave.com was confused to what product came in and it was mis-typed into the system.... Yeah whatever same ol' bullshit lying to me that everything i ordered was there and ready to ship. I tried to get some idea as to when it would be in and she said that it is marked as any day now. I asked if that really m
14. hate to interfere but if i'm not mistaken 6ave.com has the bt adapters ready to go for 119.99
15. What about the swi-x are there any features lost or gained by using this IR as opposed to the swi-ps?

HDD Space

just recently ordered the z1 and it'll be here tomorrow, excited-cant wait but installer cant get it in until next week :( BUT i am a little dissapointed to hear this. that actully sounds like it sucks! Does anyone know how to configure or tweek the HD so one can access the library in a more user friendly fashion? That's a lot of songs to have to plug down each one...!
17. heres another stupid but a technicaly viable reason. Could you boss have been at your brothers house when he placed the call? OR your boss called your brother and then your brother, utilizing 3 way calling, called you and only had your boss speak (as if he, your boss, had placed the call); was your brother on line with you guys, do you even know? seriously though, never heard anything like that, could you have accidently erased your bosses call entry log and the last call just prior to him calling maybe was your brother. i dont know just grabbing at straws really... matt

I called Abes and ordered it but I also got the extended warranty along with it, should I have not got the extended warranty? :(
How much was the warranty? I didn't purchase the warranty. When I found out that you have to pay for the repairs out of pocket and then trust the warranty company to reimburse you I wasn't too confident in that. Pioneer only has 2 locations that repair the AVIC-Z1 so you have to ship it out as oppose to taking it to a local repair center.
In fact it is my understanding that pioneer offers

21.

My apologies, I meant to say, other than flashing your lights and installing Ducati boy circuit.
Well you can install a pair of TR7's as well. Some people think that hooking in relays in between your VSS and your GPS will work as well. It doesn't. It seems to at first, but the Z1 has internal accelerometers and it will figure it out and there is no way to put a relay in between those. The only way is to flash your lights manually, put in TR7's or my circuit. If you are going to have him do it, ask him if his bypass is "relays" if
