  1. Your right. Up to 06 they all had a single DIN opening. The 07's have room for a double din so it wasn't that hard. What was hard was finding a dash kit. I got that from England believe it or not. The 07s have been out longer there, and by chance I found it on a website after days of searching. Crutchfield wasn't even aware of the double din and they said it would be months before they had anything for me. Anyway.....thanks for the replies. Kevin
  2. No blown fuses, but I did check as you requested. I found an alternate 12V constant and ACC on a convenient terminal block which these vans are known to have. Would have rather hooked it up the right way, but it works like a charm so I won't complain. Thanks for reading and for the help. Kevin
  3. I used the harness meant for a Volkswagon and it seemed to pin up correctly. I didn't cut anything on the factory harness. I swapped the yellow and red as it said, and with it swapped it didn't power up at all. With them back in the original position it powered up and worked fine till I put the key in and then it powered down. The unit is functional and so is everything else in the vehicle so there are no fuse issues. Thanks for the reply as I can't find any info on the web about it at all.
  4. Need a little help with this one. I just got an 07 Sprinter for my bands travelling needs. I purchased a D-3 for navigation and DVD purposes, but the wiring on the Sprinter has me puzzled. I've installed an N1, Z1 and D1 with no issues at all, so I'm familiar with the installation of these. No expert, but familiar. Anyway, (this is actually a Mercedes product so be aware) speaker wiring and dash install are done with no issues. I have a problem locating (at least in the radio harness) a 12 volt constant and a 12 volt ACC hook up. I have a 12V constant until the key is inserted then the
  5. If your interested, I just got an e mail from Crutchfield that they have this in stock now. If you know already.....Oh well....I tried. Kevin
  6. Forgot to sign in. Any other ideas?? Thanks again!!! [quote name="Anonymous"]I appreciate the info.....but I have no "send" in my menu. No hide ID or show ID either. [quote name="whtcrxghst"]I'm not familiar with your phone so I can't be of much help. But lets say you pull up your phonebook in the phone you have a list (Alex, Alice, etc.) If I go down to Alice and hit view, it is displaying all the info for her. If I hit the middle button right below my screen (the logo is four horizontal dashes and the first one is longer than the other three), it brings up what is called phon
  7. I've only used it 3 times. All 3 times I heard the person clearly. The person on the phone DID hear an echo, but it wasn't that bad according to them. They could hear me clearly. The thing about the phone book does suck. I noticed you can access the 5 favorites you add, but that doesn't cut it with me. Still can't download the phone book either. To be honest, I haven't used it enough yet, but my first impression wasn't that bad. FYI....the mic is on the visor, and the front speakers are in the door and I had it set for both left and right to work.
  8. My phone is an E815 Motorola. When you say "hit menu" do you mean go to the contacts in your phone book? Also, when you say "scroll down to send", mine just has a send button. Maybe I'm missing something. If I go to my contacts and highlight one and hit send it calls the person since the bluetooth is disconnected at that point. At least it says its disconnecting so it can copy the phone book. Maybe I'm just having a bad week, but I can seem to get it to work. Any ideas??? [quote name="whtcrxghst"]I think you can only transfer one entry at a time. I sync'd up the Z1 with
  9. Got mine from Crutchfield yesterday.
  10. Mine works great too. The echo is noticable to the caller, but they say it isn't that bad. The clarity through the speakers is probably the best part of it. The phone book transfer looks like its gonna be a trick to figure out. I use a Motorola E815, and after an hour and a half, I gave up. The unit says to send the data from the phone, but there isn't a way to do it that I can see. Anyone have any luck with theirs???
  11. I can get it to work, but only if I ground the PB wire. Note....I do NOT have the speed sensor wire connected. It works fine without it and my N1, D1 also worked fine so far as the nav goes, so I left it disconnected. Is this the reason I can't get it to work with the PB wire connected properly??????
  12. Has anyone actually kept the E brake connected properly and still been able to do the light flash and have the bypass work???? I just tried it, and it was just like I started it the usual way without flashing the lights. I tried it 3 times, and yes I have been able to do it with the wire grounded. I reconnected the brake wire to ground and it works fine. I'd rather have it hooked up right AND do the bypass when I want to.
  13. Granted I am new, but I do belong to other forums. I found this forum when I was looking for info on the Z1 and when it would be out. I did get this to work as well. Granted I haven't played with it as much as the rest of you have, but I can confirm it works.
  14. OK.....I grounded the PB wire and now in Nav mode I can search and view Nav Traffic where before I could not. Also, you could not change backgrounds unless the PB was on. I was able to with it set up as above. I have NOT tried the video yet. Also, I didn't have enough time to drive around and see if any functions disabled due to motion. It seems to be working as you all say it will. I wish I had more info, but I didn't have enough time to try it all. I will do so ASAP and let you all know. Also...I just found out my Bluetooth Unit ND-BT1 shipped today. Should have it Wednesday.
  15. Nope.....it's hooked up as it says to connect. I will ground it and try it. Thanks!!!
