  1. Hey guys, first off I wanna thank everyone who worked on the Z2 bypass. I put mine in on thursday, and drove over 1000 miles since with no problems. Now I am thinking about changing the boot image, which I remember seeing a thread on it before. The only one I found on this topic involved copying the nav disc, but the Z2 does not have a disc. Is it possible to change the boot image without unlocking the drive, or buying a nav disc?
  2. yes... click the search button on the header of this page!
  3. Actually most mic's ARE noise cancelling, that is why they have those little holes. But that is not what the thread starter asked for... Try moving your mic around. There is a chance that you got a bad mic, I have seen it before, but most likely you have it in a bad spot. Keep it away from your side windows and any vents (defrost, etc.) I have found that near your visor works pretty good. Possibly because the headliner is a sound absorbing material, and cuts down on the echo effect that you can get by putting it at the bottom of your windshield.[/i]
  4. I know with my N1 when I put an mp3 disc in, and hit track forward, it did just what you are saying, but when I pushed the 'joystick' up (instead of right), it selected the next random song. There must be a way for you to do it on the D3, but I am not sure, just try hitting some buttons! +1 on the ipod with the D3, the interface is actually really nice, and if you have the ipod video, the new cable allows you to play video on your D3 too. *borat voice* Its-a-nice!
  5. Why can't you just use the video out jack on the back of the unit, and run RCAs to the screens? I have only done a few D3s so far, none of which I connected to rear screens, but I do know that the navi screen can be output to rear screens on the N2, I have done that. I have no reason to believe that you can't do it on the D3...
  6. try this: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 17,00.html It is basically a cage and trim ring. This will work well if you have a double din opening that requires a cage mount, like in some late model VW's
