  1. Unfortunately, the CD/DVD drives in the AVIC-D1 & AVIC-D2 do not support DVD Dual Layer discs. AVIC-D1 DVD/CD Player Specifications AVIC-D2 DVD/CD Player Specifications AVIC-D3 DVD/CD Player Specifications
  2. EAST COAST - DO NOT UPDATE If you update the AVIC-D3 with the west 80 disc, you will NOT be able to use your 70 east disc for navigation. You will see the following screen.
  3. When you first put the disc into the AVIC-D3, it definately updates the firmware. The firmware update will DELETE the following: Wallpapers Favorites (stocks, sports) NOT RADIO PRESETS The firmware update will KEEP the following: Radio Presets (XM, FM, AM) Phonebook Emergency Info Personal POI's XM Navtraffic settings Bluetooth Connections Once, the firmware update is complete, the disc will function like a normal NAV disc. One thing I have noticed is that the map is faster and locating POI's is faster too. BURN NOTE: Burn at 1X. DVD DL media is pricey to puck

Syncing and pushing with Outlook, windows media player, and bluetooth intergration. Um, er, scratch the record, hold the presses. Bluetooth integration with the AVIC-D3? Are you serious? I'm not going to go into the multiple arguementative threads where Pioneer has completely dropped the ball when it came to smartphones and bluetooth.   7. Take a look at the Traffic Events page to see the list of what's happening around you. You can click on the incident to get a little bit more information. You can also click on the small map button on the far right to move the map to where the incident is located. Hope this helps!
