Hey everyone.. I had the d3 installed a while ago, and I was still using my factory speakers. I noticed at near max volume, that it would cause the speakers to sound very distorted and tinny. I decided to upgrade the door speakers to Clarion components.. they sounded the best in the store for the music I listen to. At normal volume levels they sound incredible, but again at near max volume, I get distortion. I've heard these speakers both using just the deck (clarion), and using an amp.. and they both sounded way better at high volume. I have my EQ set to flat, loudness off.. I've set

Btw im in Canada and these are Canadian prices. Avic d3 = $1200 Bluetooth = $200 Ipod Cable = $35 Pionner Double Din Kit = $50 Install for all items at $50/h for 1 1/2 hours of work = $75 So $1560 cdn total. As far as the other items you wanted, I wouldnt pay any more than $200 for the xm+navtraffic, and $250 for the rear view cam, unless its some ridiculous HD cam and you just like

I dunno, I just got mine prof. installed at a local reputable car audio shop, rate of $50/h for 1 1/2 hours of incredible work. Mic for BT mounted in a good location, ipod cable in glovebox, trim match. Such a clean install, even fixed up the mess from a previous install. All wires nicely tied and organized.. wont have an issue with interference. I've done installs myself, but wasn't so confident with messing around with the vss. At any rate, for $75 bucks I'm *VERY* glad I had it done. just my 2 cents

Hey... I just got my d3 installed today... freakin loving it. Anyhow I noticed a lack of Mazda backgrounds and since I own a mp5.. heres my first attempt (just an edit of the existing one). I have a feeling I will be doing custom ones very soon though..
