Hey guys, considering how many people don't like how the headunit of the avic n4, is it possible to use the avic N3 headunit along with the avic n4's brain and have all the features of the avic n4? Because even though the avic n4 has many more features than the n3, I simply just don't like the look of the n4 headunit over the n3. Anyone experiment with this yet?

Even though you finalized the dvd+r, it might be the way you burned it. If you burned it just as a normal file disc, it probably won't read. But if you burn it as like your creating your own dvd video where you just add the video's and can create your own menus and stuff like its an entire movie dvd, then that'll work.... Kind of hard to explain but it depends on what format you burned your DVD+R to.

with my experience, the dvd-r's sometimes play..and they sometimes don't ...but normally, the N3 can play dvd+r's with no problem....but i can sometimes read dvd-r's also.

i know theres a subdisplay on the bottom of the screen, but is there a display also on the top of the screen like when its closed like the N3? I kind of liked that design better

I believe the discs are the same for all the systems that you would use D3, N3, N4, Z1, Z2, etc... Anyways, heres my story. It worked like a Charm.. -Downloaded from the torrent link -Unrared the files from the .rar file -opened up in Alcohol 120 -checked the book typing to make it DVD Rom -insert DVD Dual Layer +R/RW disc, (I used a hp dual layer disc. $9.89 for a 3 pack from wal-mart) -Started image burning wizard -selected .mds file to burn from the .rar file -set settings to lowest burn speed -burned -insert into avic n3 -upgrade -upgraded maps. finished

hey, i have a question. After ya'll did the install on the gps, did you have to manually pinpoint the location of where ya'll were at on the gps? or did it automatically just detect where you were at? because i have a problem on my unit where everytime you disconnect the unit, it would reset to a default location in california LA i think. I'm not sure why it does that.

how do we ground the parking brake wire? Do we just connect that red cap to another wire thats grounded in the fusebox or something?
