  1. Well what steps are you taking when burning the disc? Make sure you create the BG folder. U cannot exceed about 20 something images in that folder. Also, the disc must have atleast 100mbs of information of something else for it to be read. Add like a big install file or something to take up space. Make sure it's not music or anything of that nature.
  2. At the moment I'm still running a N1 HU w/ a Modded N1 brain to N3. Should I, 1. Get a true N3 brain? 2. Upgrade HU to a N3? 3. Or swap out entire system for a N3 system? Everything is working fine.. Just bored and looking for some answers and/or maybe benefit from any type of enhancements from doing anything above. -dave
  3. Yes it will work. Just make sure you plug in the cables correctly and the HU will pick up the Ipod when connected.
  4. Well I don't have Sirius or Xm hooked up. Haven't decided on getting that yet. As for ipod interface? It's very generic. Doesn't have all the good stuff like the N3 brain. But I can control Playlists only. Stop, play, fwd, back...and change from playlist to playlist. It won't give you names of tracks or anything, but it will give you the name of the playlist on the screen. Songs will play as: iPOD0001 and numbers start to rise indicating the length of song. cheers
  5. Hey guys, I've noticed in the options that you can have overlay and traffic signs appear on the nav screen. But for some reason they don't pop up for me. I only get restaurants, gas stations and things like that. How can i correct this? Is there something else I need for this to take action? I have the N1 w/ the N3 upgrade w/ hybrid disk.
  6. NVM... mod's please close.
  7. You just get a generic display. What Ipod box did you get? there will be some buttons on the right side that will allow control to the ipod and let you switch fwd, back, stop, pause and jump to different playlists. Very simple to be honest.
  8. I can do everything. Video, Ipod, radio..etc. Navigation works like a charm too.. I only paid 500 bucks for the entire unit. I have the p6600dvd and sold that for 450 and purchased the AVIC. so i guess either way it was a win-win situation.
  9. U think.. well I just needed a confirmation on that. lol I dont' even know what the N1 menu looks like. I'm using the version II ipod controller but I don' get the visual click wheel or nothing. I just have control of the ipod and the playlists.
  10. Okay here Guys, here's a few pics I was able to take of my unit. It's dark outside and I"m using my camera phone so sorry about quality.
  11. Hi, I recently purchased the AVIC - N1. The seller claimed to have upgraded the unit to N3 status. I have the CD and everything for the navigation. Everything seems to work flawlessly. How Can I go about checking or verifying this? (price doesn't matter, cause i got it for a steal)
