  1. i'm with..HiFiSi, i payed that much for my 80g.....sign me up,too.
  2. it a diode, the reason it's in there is to prevent feedback, so your reverse lights aren't on. honestly probably 9 out of 10 installers don't even use it, lol. hope this helps dave
  3. it sound like the yellow wire is hooked up to switched power instead of constant +12 volts, that would explain the stations being reset (or not set). as far as the "updating" it could be the second din plug not being plugged in all the way or a bad unit (xm unit).....you can also try and have xm "refresh" the signal. hope this helps, dave
  4. it sounds like the ip-bus cable is in the wrong spot, it has an in/out. i've seen alpines that do that.....get signal just no sound and it's the ai-net (din cable) that was in the wrong spot
  5. i have these alpine in my car, i also like the vizualogic headrest, but the cost made me go with the alpine ones. http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/product ... l=PKG-M780
  6. i've got the same set-up (phone and z1) i've had this problem only when i've turned the car off before i disconnected the call. i just power the phone off and back on again and everything works fine. i think it's the phone..... i've tried it with two other phones and never had any problems. just end the call before turning the car off. hope this helps.
  7. i've done three of these trucks.... a Z2 and two D3's. since the kit isn't out yet...the easiest way to do it is to take apart the factory radio and cut the opening. i filled the holes and then wrapped it in suede. (i know, sounds easier than done) the d3's didn't look as good because the face doesn't tilt, but it still looked good. the kit is supposed to be shipping out now, through metra.
