  1. The early versions of AppRadio (DA01/02) were particularly buggy and it happened to me quite often. The trick I found was to make an outgoing call. This reinitiated the window and would cause it to close properly when the call ended.
  2. I am using AppRadioEx so I can use any app on the phone as well. I am referring though to apps specifically made to run on the head unit - not Pioneer-based apps.
  3. I'll try the OFF method today and see if that does it for me as well.
  4. Well about a week ago, the menus started working and now I can access everything. I think it's all about how I connect the phone after I start the car. Instead of unlocking my phone after I connect, I unlock before I connect and when I see the Appradio app launch on the phone, then I run through the prompts on the radio screen. One day I just happened to connect in that order and when I went to use the phone, I saw that the dialpad was accessible and I could get to the other menus. Since I've been connecting in that order, it's worked without a hitch.
  5. Although the pickings are slim right now, my favorites are: 1. Inrix 2. CommuteWX 3. Pandora 4. CarMedia Player 5. Beej! 6. DashCommander I use Inrix and Beej! every single day and they are great. I like the weather CommuteWX provides and the app has gotten progressively better from the first version. Aside from the scrolling issues, CarMediaPlayer is much better than iPod. I'd like to see a bit tighter integration with DashCommander but for what it is, it's great. What are some of yours?
  6. I have an 08 Dodge Charger I installed my AppRadio2 in maybe 3-4 weeks or so ago now. Parking brake bypassed and all the bells and whistles. I connect with a jailbroken iPhone 4 running 5.1.1 and I get the same sluggishness with CarMediaPlayer. It has nothing to do with the size of your library - apparently the issue seems to be inherent with the app. I had the original AppRadio1 and it scrolled woefully slow on that unit as well. The thing that irritates me about the app is that when launched, it always starts to play the same song - regardless of whether or not that was the last song pl
  7. Just to clear some confusion: the issue with utilizing unsupported apps is NOT with AppEx, but with the AppRadio app version, correct? I was finally able to get the app downgraded to 1.8.2 about a week ago and now the unsupported apps work - but the lag can be a bit irritating. So upgradring AppEx would solve the issue? I have this running on my jailbroken 4 running 5.1.1; I have yet to jailbreak my 4S but would consider it if it solved lag issue.
  8. Thanks! Got the cracked version, installed AppSync and now I can ride in even more style with my apps in the radio!!! My only complaint is the lag time when touching or scrolling on the radio screen. Other than that, it's great!!
  9. Thanks. But how can the earlier v1.8.2 be downloaded and installed? Unless I missed something, changing the version number in the original post link did not work.
  10. I've got the parking brake bypassed via a microbypass, but it still doesn't work. The bypass itself does work (as it cycles thru the warning message prompts and gives me the ability to hit the OK button to bypass the parking brake message).
  11. iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 AppRadioEx 2.0.1-1 AppRadio 2 with bypass installed I have no unsupported apps showing up and can't access them. Any ideas?
  12. Anyone know how to access all of the menus on AppRadio2? For instance, how do you access the dimmer feature (for when the headlights are turned on)? I'd like to adjust that since it dims too dark for me, but the menu provides no feedback on where that setting is. The Keyboard and Picture Adjustment settings are greyed out and inaccessible - anyone know how to access those? And under System Reset, the OK button is greyed out so the radio can't be reset. Is this a programming feature?
  13. Thanks. I went back and checked all of my wirining, checked the connections for any broken leads and such, then I took a can of compressed air and did thorough cleaning on all male and female connectors. I guess something got dislodged or was in the wrong place because now it works like a champ!! Now to wire the microbypass and dremel a pass through for the cable, then I can finally put my dash back together!
