  1. I have a Z2 and a Pearl and I need to transfer my phonebook. How did you do it?
  2. And you still lurk around avic411? Why? What were your problems?
  3. Well, I bit the bullet and got setup as a Canpulse vendor. My adapter comes in tomorrow. We'll see how it goes!
  4. For those of you who have had a chance to use your Z1/2 for a while, other than the one map view you lose, do you really see a difference in presision with or without the VSS wire connected? I have to buy a $150 to $400 dolloar canpulse1/4 adapter to properly connect my VSS wire, and I'm not quite sure its worth the extra money and install. I don't spend any time in tunnels, etc, and I'm not sure the extra 15-30' of precision is worth the headache. I install on Thurs and I'd like some member opinions.... Thanks!
  5. Looks like I answered my 1st question too. Seems as though I'll need a CAN adapter from soundgate.com. Anybody ever install on of these?
  6. Answered my own second question. PAC SWI-X fits for steering wheel controls. Still looking for an answer on my original question...
  7. What year is your A4? If its an 06, is it possible to tap the VSS or do you need a CAN-BUS adapter?
  8. Also, Can I use a PAC adapter to keep my steering wheel controls?
  9. I'm getting a bunch of conflicting info from different sources. Some say my 2006 A4 uses a regular analog speed pulse for VSS that I can tap directly into. Others say that the 06 B7 A4 requires a CAN-BUS adapter to convert my speed sense into an analog pulse for my Z2. Can anyone help? I'm installing this week and I need to get this right! Thanks!
