  1. Same thing here, Mike. Calibration is a little more off than before. It does seem to get further off the more you move toward the right side of the screen. iPhone5 and Z150. I wonder though…if the calibration is not off in the same place across the screen, would putting manual calibration settings in the app really help? Like you said, it seems to be some sort of multiplier. If that part was figured out though, manual settings would be awesome, to fine tune it. May take some of the workload off of you.
  2. I think he wants a video of you using an unsupported app, showing how far off the calibration is. I sent him a vid of me using Radarscope and showing where I have to press on the screen to activate the buttons in the app. For me, it's about .5" below and 2" to the right…making buttons at the bottom and on the right side of the screen impossible to touch.
  3. This is what I got using the iPhone 5, Z150bh and the test deb: Top left - 52.186649,35.992310 Top right - 704.684570,29.986267 Bottom left - 48.583027,448.988312 Bottom right - 701.981873,440.990021 Mine was VERY sensitive, touching the screen in what appeared to be the same place changed some of the numbers significantly. Of course, that could be normal, I'm no expert. If I need to retry, just let me know.
  4. Just to post my hands on with the latest build, I have a Z150 with the iPhone 5 and still have no reliable control whatsoever when using unsupported apps. For example, I tried Radarscope and the touch commands do not work, they are still off by a couple of inches. I can zoom in/out of the map cautiously (you simply drag up/down, don't have to touch a particular button) but I can't push any of the buttons on the map, such as animate/settings/etc. So the touch events are registering, just nowhere near the correct location. I also tried other apps and the same issue arises. I know you ar
  5. You can activate Siri without touching your phone. I do this with AppRadio Extensions.
  6. Had the exact same problem as you're describing. However, in my case, I found out it wasn't the radio overheating....it was the Metra Onstar interface that was overheating causing it to send random mute signals to the mute wire of the Z150. Got my Metra interface replaced and moved it to a more open place inside the dash, haven't had a single problem since.
  7. Is the speed pulse wire connected to an integration adapter? Or wired directly to the vehicle's speed sensor lead? I only ask this because I had a Metra integration adapter that was overheating, causing it to randomly send signals to the mute wire of my radio. Absolutely killed me trying to figure out what was causing my radio to mute at random times. Maybe something similar is happening to you but, in your case, it's the speed sensor wire. I've had my Z150 bypassed for a while now and have never seen that screen before.
  8. One thing it did (or it could have been the recent update to Rdio) was render the Rdio app completely useless. It is no longer compatible with AppRadio mode.
  9. Sounds good. I was actually considering switching to Android just to get metadata via bluetooth. Just can't give up the iPhone though.
  10. Unfortunately with iPhone 5, the Z150 doesn't even recognize the phone unless you tell it to use the Digital AV adapter. When I tell it I'm using the 30 pin, the radio no longer shows the AppRadio mode and the iPod source never shows. It's as if no phone is connected. I believe with the iPhone 5, it's AppRadio mode or Bluetooth, no other choices. I can't find any way at all to get artist/song info from Spotify onto my Z150. That's all I want.
  11. VBLUE, I guess Pioneer tech support could be wrong. They told me that the problem with touch events and stretching is their problem and the engineers have already worked on an AppRadio iOS app update. They said they have discovered similar issues in other apps as well. I haven't used any of the other supported apps though.
  12. Just wanted to post about my response from Pioneer tech support regarding touch events, maybe it is the source of Mike's problem with the iPhone 5 touch events. I just happened to try the AppRadio app "Rdio" using an iPhone 5 on the Z150. The touch events would not register correctly and the screen is stretched out the right side of the Pioneer screen. This is an official AppRadio app. This happens whether AppExt is installed or not. I emailed Pioneer tech support and was told that they have discovered a problem with the AppRadio iPhone app when using the iPhone 5. Some apps are not r
  13. My biggest problem is not getting any artist/song info to show on the screen when streaming via Bluetooth from my iPhone 5. The built-in iOS music app is the only app that shows this. No other app does, not Spotify, Rdio, Tunigo. I've heard that the Pioneer has a slightly older Bluetooth AVRCP version than what the iPhone 5 uses, causing problems with all third party apps. Alpine and others have started updating their radios with firmware to fix this. Hope Pioneer follows suit.
  14. Mike, I have an AVIC-Z150BH and have to say that you are doing great work. I just wanted to throw this in even though I know it's already mentioned on the first page. Maybe it's more of a Z150 compatibility issue with AppEx. I have an iPhone 5. The only way I can control anything is by touching an inch or two to the right and below of what I need to click. Any buttons I need to touch near the bottom or near the right of the screen are unusable. Anyways, I'm hoping this is part of the iPhone 5 "touch events aren't registering in the right place" problem you've listed on the first page
  15. The Z150 must not be compatible. I can't get any reliable touch controls on the radio for unsupported apps. I've rebooted the phone, uninstalled/reinstalled extensions, resprung, the only thing I can do in Radarscope is zoom in/out on the map. It's as if the touchscreen needs to be calibrated. You can touch anywhere to zoom on the map but I can't click the animate/radar towers/GPS buttons at all. Can't do anything else besides zoom. Can't even pan the map by dragging my finger. Is there a trick to get it to work like your video?
  16. Gotcha, still would like to know where he got it for $670.
  17. Wanted to ask if anyone else with a Z150 could try this. I am using an iPhone 5. When I stream music via Bluetooth to the Z150, I get metadata (artist, song name, etc) only when using the built-in "Music" app. If I use any other music app (such as Spotify, Rdio, Tunigo), I get no metadata whatsoever. The Bluetooth audio source on the radio is just blank. I do still have basic controls over all audio apps, I can skip forward, back, etc. Anyone else tried this? When I once talked to Pioneer tech support (several weeks ago), I was told that the new firmware update would also include a B
  18. In all honesty, it will be completely worth it to me just for Radarscope. Probably my favorite app in the App Store. My radio would be complete if I could somehow get Spotify to work. The artist/song/etc metadata never gets transferred to the radio via bluetooth streaming and even if AppRadioExtensions worked for Spotify, the Spotify external video out doesn't do landscape. So you would have a tiny portrait of the Spotify app that would be hard to read. I wish they hadn't removed the iPod source on the z150 and went to CarMediaPlayer. I've read some people (on other Pioneer radios) wh
  19. What are your AppRadioExtensions settings? I've had it installed in the past and never got it to work right but will try again. Such as landscape lock, do you have this on? I'm assuming it makes sure all apps run in landscape mode. Also, do you have a bunch of unsupported apps show in the menu or just a few that you know work well? Not sure if there are problems with having too many apps "show in menu". Lastly, for the Netflix app, I can do the same thing you did without extensions. However, am I right in thinking that if I do it through extensions I will get the entire screen filled
  20. It's been out since November? I thought they didn't even unveil them till CES 2013 this past Janurary?
  21. Yes, I did everything correct. As in my second post above, I found the solution which isn't listed in the firmware update notes nor did Pioneer tech support help with it. At least the tech I spoke to. I just happened to find the fix while clicking through the menu settings. Hope it may help someone else with an iPhone 5.
  22. Called Pioneer tech support and got nowhere. He gave me the same ole troubleshooting steps that I had already tried. He advised me to try removing the radio and checking the iPhone connectivity cable (as well as the HDMI) to see if maybe they had come loose. I checked, still didn't work. Finally, I was able to fix the problem on my own. When you first connect the phone to the radio via bluetooth, it asks if you will be using an Apple digital AV adapter. I always selected "Yes" and then "Yes" when it asked me if I was to use this phone for AppRadio. I finally figured out, through vari
  23. I just updated the firmware on my Z150 and followed Pioneer's instructions to a T. The radio still doesn't recognize that my phone is connected via the cables. It only recognizes it via bluetooth. The AppRadio button on the Z150 is grayed out so I can't select it. I've made sure that my iPhone 5 has the AppRadio app as well as the CarMediaPlayer app installed. Still nothing. Anyone had better luck than me? Is there a trick I've missed? I've deleted the phone from the bluetooth settings on the Z150 and re-paired it (making sure to select "yes" when it asks if I'm connecting it via Di
