  1. Odd...it works for me. Anyways, this is the program I used (it's one of the programs linked to on my other post)-- it's pretty basic, but it allows you to access the FAT file system sort (which apparently is somewhat close to alphabetical). I noticed a number of things off when I resorted, but this takes care of it pretty well. http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php
  2. Try one of these... http://www.murraymoffatt.com/software-problem-0010.html
  3. You could always use this cable instead, with a 30 pin to lightning adapter. No Appradio, but it looks like that's not so hot anyways. And you get the iPod in the source menu. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/iPod-and-iPhone-Cables/CD-IU201V
  4. You were wrong about the charging with the 30 pin adapter, maybe you'll be wrong about this too...
  5. I'm really curious if the non-video AppRadio stuff will work with an iPhone 5 and the 30pin to lightning adapter (like pandora and aha radio work now)...
  6. Discovered another (easier) workaround for my SD card issue!! Changing the voice on the navigation forces a "program restart" (you confirm "yes") which reboots the unit in some sort of more significant way. Afterwards, SD card played fine, and all my settings and favorites were still there! I left the voice changed (trying TTS), but i think it's a safe assumption that its the reset not the new voice that fixed it (haha).
  7. Honesty, I don't know what gets locked out - I just did the bypass the first time. And the directions from the forum tell you how to do it without buying anything else (thanks everyone here before me!)
  8. Anything else disappear after reset besides re-pairing and radio favorites? I just want to keep track of a few things before I reset it.
  9. Yep, I use CDIU201 cable + an apple 30 pin to lightning adapter for my iphone 5. That won't ever give full appradio support, though, because there's no way to carry the video over lightning (like there used to be with the 30 pin). To get full appradio support, you need CDIH202, which includes an HDMI cable, but you also have to buy an apple lightning AV adapter, AND another lightning cable...and you need a firmware update that pioneer has yet to release... So I chose to skip the video features for now because they're just not that important to me. For you, though, with your regular iPod, the
  10. Yeah, that's the cable you need. I use the same one + an adapter with my iphone 5, so I'm sure it will work for your typical 30 pin iPod.
  11. I haven't tried a new SD card (I only have the one micro, and this is the only device that uses it!), but after re-formatting shouldn't it "think" it's a new one? I suppose I could try naming it something different and see if that helps get it to re-scan -- I'll try that tonight. I'm emailing Pioneer, and they've been (somewhat) responsive in the past. I'm pretty grumpy about this unit too -- it's clearly a great device, with a ton of features, and it's almost all there, but the execution/release was clearly poor. They need that firmware update asap.
  12. When you say the "music" button, do you mean the magnifying glass? I use an iPhone 5, which I'm guessing is SOMEWHAT similar, but I don't have any videos loaded, so maybe I just don't see the music/video option...? But, I have a magnifying glass off to the right (next to the EQ) and that's what brings up the menu you're talking about.
  13. I have the EXACT same issue with my x950bh. SD card worked fine for a few days, and since I can't get it to work! Same message as yours, I think - "Tracks that cannot be be played back will be skipped." I made sure to remove all the weird Mac OS X files that were on the card and everything.
  14. Only if that's the setup you're using. It definitely carries audio over USB (via an interface cable) as I can hear things, and I don't have HDMI plugged in!
  15. I've got the 30 pin to lightning adapter with the x950 and it definitely charges... No app radio, but i have ipod control, pandora, and aha radio through the regular source menu. Interestingly, I noticed you can't have a bluetooth audio connection (to an entirely different phone, for example) while an "app radio device" (like an iphone) is plugged in (even if app radio doesn't work). I don't really understand why that would be...unless somehow the iphone is using bluetooth (stealthily) in conjunction with the 30-pin to lighting adapter perhaps making up for all the "missing" pins?
