  1. You can run both at the same time, I'm guessing you would have to have one of the Pioneer XM units to make this work since the Sirius data connection travels through the XM interface. I'm not sure about the Sirius hardware tho.
  2. I'm not sure if there is a rest button like there is on the D3s, but that would be your best bet if there is. On the XM radio turn to channel 000 and your XM radio code should appear.
  3. would you mind reposting the dodge logo background without the ass in the background? I don't think my wife would approve
  4. Gotcha...that's what I thought we had to do, his post just confused me
  5. So am I reading this right that we don't need DL discs to back up the D3? That would be nice
  6. For the F350, they would be long wires, but grab reverse from your trailer harness at the back of the truck. While you're at it you can grab the VSS from on top of the rear differential. The VSS has two wires, if one doesn't work try the other.
  7. Take a voltmeter and read the reverse wire you connected to on the RAM canbus harness and see if it is changing when you put the truck into reverse. If it is, there may just be a setting to change on the D3 so it works correctly. If it is not changing then run a wire to your reverse lights instead of using the canbus adapter.
  8. You will need a dual layer dvd+r from what I have read. I have not done it yet tho.
  9. I ordered mine from Compuplus and got it in less then a week. That was with ground shipping, now NJ is only one state away so that is no surprise. If your having issues you may want to check your order status on their website to make sure they did not have trouble processing your credit card or something. My order got delayed a day or two because I gave them the wrong phone number at checkout.
  10. Perfect! That is what I was hoping. Thanks
  11. I've ordered my D3 and while waiting for it and my new truck to come in so the radio has a home I have a quick question. Does the front AV2 1/8" input accept a standard stereo 1/8" audio connector or do I need some sort of adapter? The reason I ask is my wife likes to watch movies on her laptop because the screen is larger, but we would like sound over the D3. Thanks in advance.
  12. Has anyone hacked into the "External Unit" controls that are described in the D3 user manual? My guess is that the head unit would send commands to the Pioneer add-on equipment over the IP-Bus. I would prefer to build my own hardware and control it from the head unit over the IP-Bus if needed. With this in mind does anyone have any information on the communications protocals used by the IP-Bus?
  13. WOW be nice! I'm guessing that last photo is not the finished result. It obviously needs some more filler and sanding before paint.
  14. I tried searching first, but could not find the answer... The user's manual for the AVIC-D3 seems to mention a bunch of different XM hardware options. It looks like Pioneer GEX-P920XM is the model I want according to Crutchfield, but I wanted to make sure this would give me all the features of XM excepts XM Traffic. Thanks is advance for any advice.
