I can confirm that navfree works flawlessly with iOS 7 as does car media player. -
Hopeful for Pioneer Update of the AppRadio 2

I too am considering getting rid of my appradio. My biggest issue with it is if I disconnect my phone from the radio then reconnect it later on the app mode will not work. I have to manually close down the app radio app on my iPhone before connecting it to the radio for it to constantly work. Very shoddy. -

When you upgraded the firmware did you install both files (one at a time)? -

Go into the settings of the head unit and make sure the setting for phone connection is set to digital and not other. -
Ok, thanks for the reply anyway.

Come on guys, surely somebody can spare 20 seconds to confirm if this is normal or not?
-
Anyone?

Is it normal that the song name and artist o not show up on the main radio screed of the appradio 2? They don't show up on mine but if I press the button at the bottom of the screen I can see the info on a memo screen.

Try navfree. It is excellent and uses offline maps so no data use.

Even if you do see the brackets you may not have the latest update (8.30). As vblue says just try to update to 8.30. It will either update or not.

Appradio2 switching between iphone5 and 4
sandman77 replied to phoenixgold1234's topic in AppRadio, AppRadio 2, AppRadio 3
You can use an iphone 4/4s with the 8.30 firmware. You just need to go into the settings on the radio and change the digital connection type to "other". Should work just fine. You may have messed something up when "downgrading" the firmware. I dont think you are meant to be able to do that. I would go back to 8.30 if I were you.
