  1. I can confirm that navfree works flawlessly with iOS 7 as does car media player.
  2. I too am considering getting rid of my appradio. My biggest issue with it is if I disconnect my phone from the radio then reconnect it later on the app mode will not work. I have to manually close down the app radio app on my iPhone before connecting it to the radio for it to constantly work. Very shoddy.
  3. When you upgraded the firmware did you install both files (one at a time)?
  4. Go into the settings of the head unit and make sure the setting for phone connection is set to digital and not other.
  5. Come on guys, surely somebody can spare 20 seconds to confirm if this is normal or not?
  6. Is it normal that the song name and artist o not show up on the main radio screed of the appradio 2? They don't show up on mine but if I press the button at the bottom of the screen I can see the info on a memo screen.
  7. Now that's information that would have been useful in your first post.
  8. Double click the home button on the appradio for skip buttons to appear.
  9. A lot of people don't realise that when in app mode you can double click the radio home button and listen to the radio while using an app. Car media player and navfree are the only apps I use.
  10. Try navfree. It is excellent and uses offline maps so no data use.
  11. Even if you do see the brackets you may not have the latest update (8.30). As vblue says just try to update to 8.30. It will either update or not.
  12. You can use an iphone 4/4s with the 8.30 firmware. You just need to go into the settings on the radio and change the digital connection type to "other". Should work just fine. You may have messed something up when "downgrading" the firmware. I dont think you are meant to be able to do that. I would go back to 8.30 if I were you.
  13. You need to upgrade the firmware to 8.3. Make sure your USB stick is formatted using the correct file system and try again.
  14. Have you updated the firmware so it is compatible with an iPhone 5?
  15. Rdio have dropped support for appradio. Nothing to do with pioneer.
  16. I would love to have Bluetooth streaming on my appradio2. I see there is a model with a DVD/cd drive now too.
  17. I kinda agree with the above and my main worry is that once poineer release a new version of the appradio then they will stop supporting the current ones and we will be left with buggy software forever. Also it would seem that ios 7 is coming (very) soon. How long will it be before pioneer update the firmware on these units to make them compatible? I am thinking that I should have paid extra for the parrot asteroid smart.
  18. I don't think a new unit will fix the issue. I think it is a software problem.
  19. Mine does this too. I have to close the app on the phone (double click the hoe button, hold on app icon then close) for it to work. It is a total pain in the ass and I would return it if I could.
  20. If you already have the most recent firmware on the unit you need to change the connection setting from other to digital av.
