  1. what a stupid glitch. Doesn't pioneer have road testers that actually test the product? I figured out the MENU button annoyance on my first day of install. It is sooooo stupid.
  2. Go to "Sound" -> "SLA" SLA = Source level adjustment. Adjust it to default at a higher volume.
  3. ya, i wish this wish can somehow come true. btw, for the guy up there that said its binary, it's true it is. but im sure someone can decompile it. I mean, the operating system for this thing isn't THAT big... just a thought.
  4. I did something very similar. For the GENRES category (Which i almost never use), I put the Letters there A, B, C, D, ... , Z, # Therefore, under A you have your Artists that begin with A, etc... Therefore, I can look for Albums AND Artists by letter.
  5. i think i have a little bit of it. then again, other people hear have definitely noticed it. i dont know anymore.
  6. Cool dude! Nice research. We need threads like this to be able to solve/hack/ etc. the other problems of the D3.
  7. cmon post it already. I wanna see what you came up with.
  8. I'm lookin to fix all the problems on the D3, which are stupid software glitches, not hardware. 1) Ipod MENU button 2) No progressive scroll when searching for music on Ipod 3) Maybe even trying to get the unit to see an external hard drive to store the map data or something. 4) No RDS 5) Making the |<< and >>| hard buttons on the avic cycle through presets, not seek. You can see where this is going. If Pioneer only cared to update these simple software fixes (well, other than the hard drive one , this would be a near perfect NAV. To think they spent all this time making
  9. Is it possible, since the source code is on the DVD itself, to recode some of the AVIC D3 functions? If there are hackers and coders that can reprogram games, applications, etc. shouldn't it be possible to hack the Avic D3 software off the DVD and fix the problems ourselves? Just a thought.
  10. Alright peeps, hear me out. I recently got an Avic D3. I hear people around this board saying that it's an affordable nav, live with the glitches, etc... NO. F that. I won't "live" with the glitches. If they spend that much time making this NAV feature packed with Divx, DVD, Ipod, etc.. it's honestly EMBARRASSING to Pioneer to overlook some stupid glitches like: 1) Ipod MENU button that works for like 10 min then is useless 2) The MUTE button that takes 5 sec. to kick in 3) The nonexistent Ipod song search feature, or a fast scrolling capability without waiting 5 minutes to get to th
