I have an AVIC Z120BT with 140 software in my 2004 E46 325CI. The previous owner had it installed professionally. Just be prepared that you have to relocate your HVAC controls and also cut out part of the heater/AC baffle to make room for the head unit. I also got one on eBay for 22 bucks. It works great. I couldn't see spending over $100 or more on one.

I don't think the remotes can get that far into the menu to adjust bass settings etc. I don't have a remote (yet)

Ok, I did some more research and it looks like the idea I mentioned above will not work on any AVIC except for the 150 due to a new design. Too bad, because the ARLiberator app lets people with compatible equipment access and use a mirror image of their droid right on the pioneer head unit screen

If you are willing to root your phone you can buy and run an app called "ARLiberator". I have the same hardware you have. You need the app which is $34.99 and a cable which goes from the mini HDMI port on your droid into the USB cable which feeds to your stereo. This has worked on app2 radios. I am trying to find out if it will work on our avic's. go to the google play store and search for the app. There is a video there which shows what it does. Pretty cool stuff.

Not sure about the 150 but the 140 and earlier have an orange and white wire that connects to a +12 volt wire when headlights are turned on to activate night mode. There are a bunch of posts about installers failing to connect this wire (whomever installed my radio did the same thing so I am planning on fixing it). As far as a remote control there is an add on by PAC audio which will allow you to use a steering wheel mounted remote or a non mounted hand held remote.

I have had my iPod connected with the cable and my droid razr phone connected by Bluetooth at the same time on my z120 running z140 software but I don't think you can connect two devices by using a splitter on the cable
