  1. I never did get the static to go away. Check out this link. This is how I had mine installed. It seems to be the preferred way. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36044
  2. I just got my d3 installed in my 07 civic si. There is a static noise that gets kind of annoying and is present whether the volume is turned down or up. When I first put my key in the ignition and turn one click, the unit powers up and there is no static whatsoever. When I turn the key one more click, that is when the static noise kicks in. The second click allows for the fan to blow and all of the dash lights to operate. I wonder if there is some kind of interference or something. Any ideas?
  3. Thanks for the info. One more thing. The vss connection was not done with my setup. If it was, wouldn't that affect the bypass, being that the unit would register that the vehicle is in motion. Sorry if this was already covered.
  4. So during power up, there should be no warning or error messages? That would be great.
  5. I just had my d3 installed and the bypass performed. The bypass works because video will play while in motion. My question is whether or not it is normal that every time the unit starts up, a warning message comes up saying that the parking brake lead is not installed properly and then I have to touch "OK" to get through. The bypass does work but it is a pain to see this message every time the unit starts up and then having to press "ok" every time. If this is normal then I guess its worth it.
