i did the same thing. i upgrade my laptop hardrive and am using the 40GB in the Z..i have installed the image and disabled the security. what do i need to do expand the music partition?

what is the procedure to do an HD backup before doing the bypass? does it need to be unlocked? and if so do you have to relock it? is it a simple matter of connecting to a laptop or something and doing a drive image with ghost or acronis? TIA

ok so i have verified it isnt the remote it works fine on a z1 but not on my z2. any ideas? how can i test my IR recever?

do i need to unlock my hd in order to make a backup image of it before i do the bypass? i want to be sure i can get back to original if i ever want to my unit says march 2007 on the box.

i have tried a new battery and put my battery in a tester and it was good still doesnt work

so you didnt have to do anything fo the radio to recognize the remote? i wonder if i got a bad remote

the battery is good, it is a brand new unit. have you been able to use it with a Z2?

so has anyone had success with the CD-SR1 remote and the Z2? What is the trick?
